“It feels crazy to be a part of this in every way,” Eilish explains. “To be able to score the theme song to a film that is part of such a legendary series is a huge honour.”
Her brother adds, “Writing the theme song for a Bond film is something we’ve been dreaming about doing our entire lives. There is no more iconic pairing of music and cinema than the likes of Goldfinger and Live and Let Die. We feel so so lucky to play a small role in such a legendary franchise, long live 007.”
The new Bond movie will hit theatres from 12 November (20) and Eilish will be joining Craig for a ‘James Bond Day’ special on America’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Monday (05Oct20).
Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga (“Beasts of No Nation”), the new movie is supported by the likes of Lea Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Christoph Waltz, Rory Kinnear, and Ralph Fiennes.
Billie Eilish was the youngest artist to record a 007 soundtrack. The song became the first James Bond theme by a female artist to top the UK chart.

  • Alicia Keys Gave Billie Eilish a Call After Seeing Her Discomfort Following Grammy Wins

    Instagram

The ‘No One’ singer can relate to Billie’s uneaseness at Grammy wins as she felt the same way after her 2002 triumphs so she made sure to let the younger star know she deserved the awards.
    Sep 20, 2020
AceShowbiz – Alicia Keys called Billie Eilish the day after the Grammy Awards to reassure her that she deserved all of her success.
The “Fallin’ ” singer was on hand to present Billie with the Best New Artist gong at the ceremony earlier this year (20), and the “Bad Guy” star’s clear discomfort at taking home five prizes at the music awards reminded Alicia of how she felt when she did the same back in 2002.
“There you are, with all these accolades and all this celebration – and you don’t know exactly what to do with it, or even why was it you,” Alicia told the BBC. “It feels almost like it’s overkill. You think, ‘Spread it around, don’t just give (the awards) to me,’ you know? I definitely recognise that, I understood that.”

So upon sensing Billie’s feelings surrounding her victories, Alicia gave her a ring the next day.
“I wanted to congratulate her because I was so happy for her, because not only does she have a beautiful voice but she’s not trying to fit in to the crowd – and that’s such an important thing to see,” she explained. “So when I called her I said, ‘Don’t for one second think that you didn’t deserve this. You deserve all of this, and don’t forget it.’ ”
“Because I remember I definitely felt like that for a long time. I thought I didn’t deserve what I was receiving, I didn’t deserve the greatness that I had inside of me.”

  • Billie Eilish Credits 'The Office' for Giving Her 'Safe Space'

    Instagram

The ‘Bad Guy’ hitmaker is such a superfan of the TV comedy that she watched the entire U.S. version, which was originally aired from 2005 to 2013, 14 times, often on her iPhone.
    Sep 15, 2020
AceShowbiz – “The Office” helps transport Billie Eilish to a “safe space” when life is getting her down.
The “Bad Guy” hitmaker is such a superfan of the TV comedy that the producers of podcast series “An Oral History of The Office” created a special finale all about her love of the programme, titled “Beauty in Ordinary Things… – The Legacy of The Office (2013-Present)”.
“The Office” stars and revolving podcast hosts, Brian Baumgartner and Steve Carell, sat down with their famous superfan days after she scooped six Grammy Awards in February, and she was so stoked she offered to give them one of her trophies.
“I don’t need all of them, you can have one,” she giggled.
But “The Office” is serious business for Eilish, who revealed that tuning in “takes me away from the reality of my life,” adding, “It’s a safe space.”
She also confessed to watching the entire U.S. version of the show, which aired from 2005 to 2013, 14 times, often on her iPhone, adding it’s not a new obsession.
“Honestly, because I’ve been getting older, every time I watch it I understand something new, because I started at (age) 12,” the 18-year-old adds. “Most of the things that I know are because of ‘The Office’. I swear to God.”
Billie’s mum Maggie even popped up on the FaceTime call to confirm that her daughter watches “The Office” “day and night,” while series stars Jenna Fischer and John Krasinski also dropped by to share some of their favourite memories.
The final episode of “An Oral History of The Office” drops on 15 September.

  • Billie Eilish Reflects on Self-Growth on Sweet New Song 'My Future'

In a statement talking about the song, the Grammy-winning songstress says that the tune, which she wrote during quarantine, is ‘really, really personal and special to me.’
    Jul 31, 2020
AceShowbiz – It’s been a while since fans of Billie Eilish hear a new song from the singer. After much anticipation, the Grammy-winning songstress blessed her devotees on Thursday, July 30 with a brand new single entitled “My Future”.
Unlike her previous works, the new song features a softer sound and finds Billie reflecting on her self-growth as she keeps singing about how she’s “in love” with her future rather than other people. “I know supposedly I’m lonely now (Lonely now)/ Know I’m supposed to be unhappy/ Without someone (Someone),” the singer rhymes in a sweet, whispery voice. “But aren’t I someone? (Aren’t I someone? Yeah)”
The release of the song was accompanied with a music video, which featured an animated Billie wandering around a forest. At the end of the visuals, she gets her feet caught in a tree that later brings her towards the sky, as if indicating that she’s walking towards her budding future.

Billie said of “My Future” in a statement, “We wrote this at the very beginning of quarantine. It’s a song that’s really, really personal and special to me.” She added, “When we wrote this song, it was exactly where my head was at–hopeful, excited and a craaaazy amount of self reflection and self growth. But recently it has also taken on a lot of new meaning in the context of what’s happening in the world now. I hope you can all find meaning in it for yourselves.”
“My Future” follows Bilie’s “No Time to Die”, which serves as the soundtrack to an upcoming Bond movie of the same name. She and her brother, Finneas, debuted live performance of the song at the 2020 BRIT Awards back in February, as the siblings were joined by the legendary composer Hans Zimmer and the Smiths’ Johnny Marr.

Billie Eilish on Coronavirus Pandemic: Don't Panic, but Don't Be Stupid

    WENN/Phil Lewis

Deciding to reschedule the remaining dates on her ‘Where Do We Go?’ tour, the ‘No Time To Die’ singer stresses that the trend for ‘social distancing’ is ‘everyone’s responsibility.’
    Mar 17, 2020
AceShowbiz – Billie Eilish has scrapped all remaining dates of her current tour, while urging fans not to be “stupid” amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The 18-year-old “No Time To Die” singer took to Twitter on Monday, March 16 to follow up her decision to postpone some shows last week, revealing that all her remaining “Where Do We Go?” North American tour dates would be rescheduled.

Billie Eilish announced that her upcoming tour was rescheduled due to Coronavirus.
She made a more personal announcement on her Instagram Story timeline, telling followers to pay attention to guidelines from officials at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
“Don’t panic, but don’t be stupid,” she wrote. “It (coronavirus) is a really big deal right now and it is not a joke. I know because a lot of us haven’t seen it with our eyes – what it’s been doing and who it’s been affecting – it’s hard to understand that it’s real. But it really is real, and I’ve seen a lot of young people out in the world, all over the place, going to the club or going to the beach, just going out and hanging out. It’s really irresponsible.”
She went on to note that the trend for ‘social distancing’ is “everyone’s responsibility” because people should consider the older, weaker people around them.
She also suggested fans stay inside as much possible and resist the temptation to buy up basic goods and toiletries in bulk: “Don’t panic, there’s enough supplies for people – don’t hoard things.”

Eilish joins a long list of big music names, who have been forced to cancel dates and entire tours due to the COVID-19 crisis. These include Queen, Foo Fighters, Green Day, and Madonna.
And she’s not the only A-list pop star urging followers to take health guidelines seriously – Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift and Bebe Rexha have also taken to social media to encourage fans to stay home and self isolate.
