Dressed in a risque orange bra and matching sparkly thong, the Grammy-winning raptress flaunts her impressive pole dancing and twerking skills along with other dancers in the “Movie” music video. She and her co-stars appear to have so much fun as they drink expensive liquor and take shots. The clip also displays her and the Only the Family founder throwing money around the dance floor.

Megan has since gained praise from her online devotees. Taking to the YouTube comments section, one individual gushed, “Megan DOES NOT disappoint. Never has. She always serves.” Another user raved, “What we needed to get us through the day! Megan and Cardi should open up a strip joint, call it WAP.” A third chimed in, “Why Megan slay every music video?”

“Movie” is the fourth single from Megan’s debut album “Good News” to have its music video. It followed “Cry Baby” featuring DaBaby, “Body” and “Don’t Stop”, in which she collaborated with Young Thug. “Good News” itself was released in November 2020.

Megan’s new music video came after it was unveiled that her and Cardi B’s raunchy performance at Grammy Awards generated more than 1,000 complaints to the Federal Communications Commission. Many of the complainants dubbed their March 14 performance “disgusting” and likened it to “pornography.”

Despite the complaints, Megan managed to take home three awards that night. She won Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for “Savage Remix”, featuring Beyonce Knowles, as well as Best New Artist.

Megan Thee Stallion Still Stunned by Grammy Victories as She Calls Her Win With Beyonce 'Epic'

    CBS

The ‘Hot Girl Summer’ hitmaker still ‘can’t believe’ she won three Golden Gramophones, including sharing a Best Rap Performance honour with Beyonce Knowles.

    Mar 16, 2021
AceShowbiz – Megan Thee Stallion is in shock after the star picked up three Grammy Awards on Sunday (14Mar21) night.
The 26-year-old singer admitted it “feels amazing” to have scooped Best New Artist, Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song – the latter two for her “Savage” remix with Beyonce – as well as performing with Cardi B.
She told Entertainment Tonight, “I couldn’t believe I was here when I got here and I can’t believe I’m leaving here with three of these.”
Megan also admitted it was an “epic moment” for her to go on stage holding hands with Beyonce to accept their Best Rap Performance honour.

She said, “It was such an epic moment. Beyonce is just a treasure to everybody in Houston, pretty sure everybody in the world, but specifically where we are from we just absolutely love Beyonce. And to have her just seal the deal for me, it’s like a pat on the back like, ‘I am proud of you girl.’ ”
That win allowed Beyonce to tie with Alison Krauss for the most Grammys awarded to a female artist, with 27, and she went on to break the record later in the evening after winning Best R&B Song for “Black Parade”, and Megan was thrilled by the achievement.
She said, “It’s important, being a Black woman entertainer and Black woman in general. We are here, we here to stay, we gonna stay over.”
As well as her wins, Megan joined Cardi B on stage for a performance of their hit single “WAP” – which followed her collaborator’s rendition of “Up” – before singing her own tracks “Body” and “Savage”, and she admitted they had been working on the segment for a long time.
She said, “We spent so many weeks, I think it was a whole month preparing for this performance, and to see it all come together, I am so happy.”

Representative Maxine Waters Loves Megan Thee Stallion's 'Audacity' in 'WAP'

    Harper’s Bazaar

Showing support for the ‘Hot Girl Summer’ raptress, the U.S. Representative assures the Houston rapper that she has no problem with Megan-featuring Cardi B’s controversial song.

    Feb 23, 2021
AceShowbiz – While Cardi B’s song “WAP” featuring Megan Thee Stallion was a huge hit, it also landed the raptress in hot water over its raunchy lyrics. Some conservative U.S. political figures criticized the stars for the song, but not with Maxine Waters who only had praises for Megan during their joint interview for Harper’s Bazaar.
“Here’s what I said: Now that’s audacity,” Mazine said of the track in a video, which was unveiled on Monday, February 22. “That is the ability for women to take charge of what they want to say because, as I said, I had paid attention to the young Gangster Rap time when men were in charge. They said whatever they wanted to say. That said whatever they wanted to say about women, what have you. But women didn’t say [anything] for a long time; what they could say or wanted to say or dared to say. And so, I thought, ‘That’s audacity.’ ”
Showing support for the Hot Girl Summer, the U.S. Representative for California’s 43rd congressional district assured the rapper, “I’m with you, I’m fine, I have no problem.” She went on to say, “You young women are taking control of your art. You’re defining it in ways that never would be defined by anybody else and you’re willing to have the courage and the nerves and the audacity to say whatever the hell you think.”
“The pure creativity of rap took over,” she continued, recalling when hardcore rap was not accepted “even by black people and the ministers in the church.” Maxine added, “And it took over not because the white media or anybody else helped with that. It took over because it was so accepted by so many and so loved by so many and that’s how it keeps evolving.”

Prior to this, the Congresswoman sent the Houston raptress a touching letter which Megan called “one of the highlights of my year” in an Instagram post in December 2020. “I am so honored to be recognized by such an amazing woman and I promise to keep using my voice and encourage others to use theirs !” she wrote in the caption.
In the said letter, Maxine honored the “Good News” artist for her powerful opinion that the idea of protecting black women shouldn’t be controversial. “I read the op-ed you wrote that appeared in The New York Times recently and I can’t thank you enough for bringing much needed attention to the plight of Black women, not just here in the United States — but everywhere,” she wrote in the letter.
“You are so right that Black women have paved the way and have done so by leading with courage and bravery. There is also this notion, which you touched upon, that we as Black women have the ability to bear a heavier burden than everyone else in this society,” the letter continued.

AceShowbiz – Megan Thee Stallion and DaBaby have released a toy-themed music video for their collaboration “Cry Baby”, but it’s definitely not for children. The two rappers teamed up for visuals filled with steamy scenes, despite the video being set in a toy store.
Megan and DaBaby turn into action figures who party in the store, when it appears to be closed with not a single person inside. They cruise in a toy car along the alleys of the shop, with the “Hot Girl Summer” hitmaker occasionally showing off her twerking skills.
Rocking various sexy lingerie, the “WAP” raptress is also joined by scantily-clad backing dancers as she shows some sexy moves in a dollhouse. After all their antics, the video ends with a scene showing the mess Megan and DaBaby have created.

On the track, Megan and DaBaby talk about their active sex lives, claiming that both of their body counts are so sky-high that even their friends and parents are being a “cry baby” about it. “That ain’t DaBaby, that’s my baby/ Her friends and mom hate me (Go)/ Lay down on the bed, do the crybaby (Mmm),” the “Bop” spitter raps in the chorus. “She ain’t gave me none of that pussy in a while/ She had the boy waitin’, I don’t mind waitin’ (Come here).”

Megan Thee Stallion Thinks Men Are Against 'WAP' Due to 'Fear and Insecurity'

This is not the first time for either Megan and Cardi B to defend the hit song from criticism with the ‘Bodak Yellow’ femcee weighing in on the matter during her appearance on Australia’s ‘The Kyle and Jackie O’ show.

    Dec 23, 2020
AceShowbiz – Megan Thee Stallion is weighing in on the criticism over her and Cardi B’s collaborative song “WAP”. In a new interview for British GQ magazine, the “Good News” artist revealed that people, especially men, oppose the raunchy song because they “just don’t know what to do when a woman is in control and taking ownership of her own body.”
She went on saying, “I feel like for a long time men felt like they owned sex and now women are saying, ‘Hey, this is for me. I want pleasure. This is how I want it or don’t want it,’ it freaks men the hell out.” The Houston raptress also noted that “it just comes from a place of fear and insecurity, like why would anyone be mad about my WAP? It belongs to me.”

This is not the first time for either Megan and Cardi to defend the hit song from criticism. During her interview on Australia’s “The Kyle & Jackie O” show, the “Bodak Yellow” femcee weighed in on the matter, saying, “The people that the song bothers are usually conservatives or really religious people. But my thing is…I grew up listening to this type of music. To other people it might be vulgar, but to me, it’s almost really normal.”
Cardi was also aware that the song is not for children, noting that she didn’t want her 2-year-old daughter Kulture, whom she shares with rapper Offset, to listen to it. “Of course I don’t want my child to listen to the song. But, it’s like, it’s for adults!” she said. “It’s what people want to hear. If people didn’t want to hear it, if they were so afraid to hear it, it wouldn’t be doing so good.”
Among those who publicly criticized the song was hip-hop vet Snoop Dogg. The “Mac and Devin Go to High School” actor shared his two cents on “WAP” during his virtual interview with host Julissa Bermudez for Central Ave on Thursday, December 10. Alluding that the song is too raunchy for his taste, Snoop opined, “Oh my God. Slow down. Like, slow down. And let’s have some imagination. Let’s have some, you know, privacy, some intimacy where he wants to find out as opposed to you telling him.”
He went on saying, “To me it’s like, it’s too fashionable when that in secrecy, that should be a woman’s…that’s like your pride and possession. That’s your jewel of the Nile. That’s what you should hold onto. That should be a possession that no one gets to know about until they know about it.”

Asian Doll Says 'Friendship Ended' After Megan Thee Stallion Ditched Her for JT on Debut Album

    Instagram

The ‘Unfuccwitable’ femcee hints at the end of her friendship with the ‘Hot Summer Girl’ hitmaker after initially insisting they’re still cool despite her being snubbed by Meg on her debut album.

    Dec 21, 2020
AceShowbiz – Did Asian Doll end her friendship with Megan Thee Stallion? The female rapper also known as Asian Da Brat was seemingly hurt as she wrote a now-deleted tweet, “Friendship ended NEXT!” after revealing that Megan replaced her with JT of City Girls.
The drama started when Asian played for her online followers her unreleased verse on “Do It on the Tip”, a song off Megan’s debut album that features the City Girls. As Megan was called out for ditching Asian, the “Unfuccwitable” star was quick to set the record straight. “Me & Megan still friends idgaf about no song I did in my sleep,” she wrote.
But in a follow-up tweet, she admitted that, while she was cool with the “Hot Girl Summer” hitmaker, she was indeed upset at first. She confessed, “I was (mad) but ima Sagittarius we get mad then 10mins later WE DON’T GIVE A F**K BOUT NUNNADET SH*T. (sic)”
While Megan kept mum, JT posted a series of cryptic messages that fans believed to be a response to Asian Doll’s tweets. “A real friend is something you bi***es really don’t know nothing about!” she penned. “I been doing good but ima bout to start laying y’all attention h**s out & I’m coming with FACTS!!!!! Sympathetic a** h**s are really starting to grind on my gears! FR!”
JT added, “Like if you know it’s gone draw attention & cause commotion … why speak on it? Mind you lying! But GO OFF!”

While JT didn’t drop any names, Asian directly mention JT in her next tweet, insisting to keep a positive attitude as fans brought JT’s remarks to her attention. “If JT ain’t say my name then she wasn’t talking to me,” she tweeted before seemingly scolding fans for trying to pit her against the City Girls member, “Stop being messy cause what I said was between me & Megan!”
Asian went on, “This whole song getting out of hand! My intentions wasn’t bad when I played it I DON’T WANNA BE ON THE DELUXE I Don’t Wanna Put It Out I played it because ITS NEVER coming out! I don’t need to be a pick me b***h cause at the end of the day I’m having my way with this sh*t.”
“I was called & asked to do the song,” she explained why she sent her verse to Meg. “Some told me don’t do it anyways so I didn’t. Weeks later I was reminded to do it, so I DID It.”

Asian, who previously defended Megan against Tory Lanez, then seemingly called out Megan for being silent. “A lot of sh*t I don’t even deserve,” she wrote. “God knows my intentions but these b***es don’t make it no better. How you don’t defend a b***h that RUN to defend you [laughing crying emojis].”
