Coleen Rooney accuses Rebekah of snitching on five WAGs – including Abbey Clancy

Coleen Rooney claims Rebekah Vardy leaked “defamatory, unfavourable or unflattering” gossip about a string of Wags.

The wife of England and Manchester United legend Wayne alleges she is not the only victim.

She claims Abbey Clancy, 34, Kate Ferdinand, 29, Danielle Lloyd, 36, and Georgina Cleverley, 33, have all fallen foul of Leicester striker Jamie’s missus.

Each of the women are WAGs – a term that originated in the early noughties to describe the partners of sportspeople in the UK.

Spurs’ boss Jose Mourinho, 57, also got a kicking at her hands, Coleen claims.

Coleen says Rebekah, posing as The Secret Wag, was the source of stories including one headlined: “No Way Jose: Jose Mourinho is harsh and disliked by many’.”

She claims other stories included one headed: “Rio Ferdinand’s flashy fiancée Kate Wright breaks Wag code by flaunting wealth and rubbing people’s face in it.”

The slurs are contained in legal papers filed by Coleen, 34, in her court battle against the rival Wag.

Rebekah, represented by Hugh Tomlinson QC, is suing for £1million after Coleen publicly accused her of leaking private information to the press.

A judge today ruled Coleen was obviously suggesting it was Rebekah behind the leaks.

The case was adjourned until February for the pair to try to settle it in private. If they fail, it will go to trial at the High Court in London in the summer.

Rebekah, 38, who denies she was responsible for any of the leaks, also wants an apology.

Coleen’s lawyer David Sherborne insists she can prove the other Wag was the source of the stories.
