David Beckham shows off famous skills with Chinese Jianzi game

David Beckham may no longer be on the pitch as a professional player but he’s still got the skills that made him one of the greatest football stars of all time.

The sporting legend, 45, filmed himself trying his had at kooky Chinese game Jianzi before uploading the clip to his official Instagram page.

Jianzi is a traditional sport in China in which players can use any part of their bodies apart from their hands to keep a heavily weighted shuttlecock in the air.

Dressed in a dark hoody and long white shorts, Victoria Beckham’s hubby could be seen trying to keep the shuttlecock in the air as if it were football.

Passing the shuttlecock from one foot to the other, Becks appeared confident as ever before flipping it behind him and performing a string of impressive moves.

However, despite wowing his fans online, in the back of the shot his son Romeo Beckham can be seen watching on impatiently with a football at his feet waiting for his dad to finish.

Sharing the clip with his 64.8 million followers, David wrote: “Practising Jianzi for the first time, I love it.

“Thanks to my fans in China for getting me into this new game.”

Away from the pitch, Becks has announced his limited edition run of his whisky brand Haig Club.

The businessman has fronted the drink since it launched in 2014 and is also the brand partner.

Teaming up with street artist D*Face, the 1,000 bottled have been adorned with a illusion of a man and woman embarrassing which has become popular around the world.

Talking about the limited edition run, Becks said: “It’s great to launch our artist collaboration with D*Face.
