Gavin and Stacey star Joanna Page nearly divorced her husband in lockdown after they stopped having sex.
Similar to her onscreen storyline, where Mat Horne and Jo’s characters go through relationship turmoil, Joanna says her relationship lacked intimacy.
Joanna and husband James Thornton have three children together between the ages of four and seven.
She says the intimacy has dipped because of the youngsters.
She told The Sun: “We spent the whole of the first lockdown arguing and threatening to divorce each other.
“Then we went through a month of literally not saying a single word to each other.
“We came out of that a bit numb and deadened and desperate for anything we could get because we just argued so much.

“‘Let’s get some sex in before we have to pick the kids up from school’ — that’s how desperate we’d got.”
The 43-year-old has been married to her actor hubby for 17 years.
The couple are parents to Eva, seven, Kit, five, and Noah, four.
The star told how she thought it was a problem that parents across the country must have suffered during the various lockdowns that hit the nation this year.
Joanna told how she ended up with her children so much that it even ended up at times with them wanting to sleep in the same bed as their parents.

Last year’s gavin and Stacey Christmas special was one of the highlights of the festive TV schedule.
It ended up being the most-watched scripted TV show of the 2010s with a staggering 17.1m tuning in either live or on catch-up to watch it.
Gavin and Stacey creator James Corden has confirmed that the popular BBC series will return however it is not known when.
