GMB viewers and Adil Ray disgusted as Lewis Hamilton shares cake with dog

Good Morning Britain viewers and stand-in host Adil Ray were left disgusted after they shared a clip of Lewis Hamilton eating a slice of cake with his dog.

The sportsman had shared the video on his social media account, with it showing him sat down with his dog, taking it in turns to have a bite of the cake.

Adil was horrified, explaining to viewers that he’d absolutely never do that with a dog.

He said: “Lewis Hamilton, what a great year he’s had, but he was celebrating with his dog. They both enjoyed some cake.

“Ugh, no! No! No! Lewis!”

The comedian continued: “I mean, he was my hero. What’s he doing? Lewis, no man!

“He’s not a Sports Personality – he’s an animal… literally!”

Adil explained: “I love the dog I look after and I feed him and spoil him and I even let him lick my face occasionally, but even then I don’t like it, but I would never ever… what is that!?”

Meanwhile, Charlotte Hawkins said the video made her feel “queasy”.

And Good Morning Britain viewers were just as turned off, taking to Twitter to share their views.

One said: “Lewis Hamilton sharing a cake with his dog [vomit emojis] No! Just no!”

Another tweeted: “Wow Lewis.”

A third wrote: “Hamilton just had Covid, now he’s eating with his dog. Disgusting,” and a vomiting emoji.

And someone else added: “Lewis Hamilton as seen on GMB sharing his cake with the dog! I do love animals but definitely wouldn’t go this far.”

On the account “roscoelovescoco”, a video was shared showing Lewis sat on the ground with his bulldog Roscoe.

Lewis let the dog have a bite out of a big chunk of cake, before putting it to his own mouth and having some, before giving it back to Roscoe.

It was captioned: “I shares my cakes with dads, we best friendz [sic].”

However it seems it may have been a cake specifically for the dog, as a previous Instagram post showed him with a bone-shaped cake with the words “Welcome back Roscoe” iced on it.

According to the Instagram bio, Roscoe is a “vegan” bulldog, so it seems the cake would have been safe for humans – but maybe not too tasty, although Lewis looked to be enjoying it.

The video has had more than 284,000 views and many Instagram users didn’t seem to be grossed out, unlike GMB viewers.

One wrote: “Love this Lewis – you treat Roscoe exactly how dogs deserve to be treated.”

Another said: “Best buddies share everything.”

And a third added: “This is funny but so damn cute. So happy to see you both.”
