Louise Redknapp posts touching tribute to Caroline Flack on late star's birthday

Louise Redknapp has shared a touching tribute to her late friend Caroline Flack, who would have turned 41 today (November 9).

Love Island host Caroline died aged 40 in February of this year after tragically taking her own life.

Singer Louise took to Instagram to remember her friend, sharing a photo of Caroline kissing Louise’s cheek.

The former Eternal star said: “I want to always remember my friend and celebrate her as much as possible and to always keep her in all of our thoughts and memories.

“Happy birthday beautiful I miss you walking in and landing a big kiss on my cheek.”

She finished the sweet post by adding: “Miss you love you.”

The cute photo was met by plenty of comments from Louise’s 715,000 followers, with more than 18,000 of them also leaving a like.

One person commented: “Two beautiful people.”

Another wrote: “Must be heartbreaking for you.”

A third said: “Happy heavenly birthday Caroline.”

Someone else commented: “Beautiful lady, sorely missed.”

Meanwhile, countless other followers filled the comment section with heart emojis.

Caroline was tragically found dead in her Stoke Newington flat in London on February 15, 2020.

An inquest which opened on February 19 heard that she had died by hanging.

She took her own life after finding out that she would be prosecuted for allegedly assaulting her boyfriend Lewis Burton.

The Crown Prosecution Service was slammed for pursuing the charges against Caroline, despite Lewis making it clear he did not support it.

However after a review of the charges, the CPS decided that their decision to go ahead had been “handled appropriately”.
