Love Island's Shaughna to clash with Callum after he returns with new girl Molly

Love Island contestant Shaughna Phillips is set to have an explosive showdown with Callum Jones on tonight’s show.

In a teaser clip for Thursday night’s show, the boys who are cooped up in Casa Amor are seen getting a text which tells them recoupling is set to take place before they rejoin the main villa.

Essex lad Callum then nervously reveals to the lads that he plans to get together with Molly Smith when he returns to the Villa.

He says: “Shaughna’s going to go f**king mad.

“Everyone’s going to hate me.”

Shaughna, who has spent a lot of time pining for Callum while he has been in Casa Amor, has no clue that she is about to be dumped and tells the girls she plans to make her relationship official.

She says: “If Callum does come down on his own I will literally say to him, We need to have a discussion.

“If it was more official I wouldn’t stress as much.”

But it becomes clear Callum doesn’t share her views as he chats to Molly.

He said: “I don’t want to potentially throw something away that I think is special just because I might hurt someone’s feelings in the process.”

Many fans of the show feared the crushing news could damage Shaughna’s mental health and took to social media to plead with producers to step in.

One said: ”Shaughna’s mental health is gonna be f***** after this. The fact that she goes on looking like s**** wearing spot cream and all that before Callum left for casa amor.. Then Callum saying on TV he’s not sexually attracted to her.

Another said: “The producers are gonna need to check on Shaughna’s mental state when the lads come back.”

A third added: “I wish I could just warn Shaughna because no joke I’m actually worried for her mental state after tomorrow’s episode.”

Representatives from ITV have been approached for comment.
