Max George installs security camera in dance studio 'to ward off Strictly curse'

Max George has gone to extreme lengths to make sure the infamous Strictly curse doesn’t destroy his relationship with girlfriend Stacey Giggs.

The Wanted hunk, 32, has revealed he has installed security cameras at his BBC rehearsal studio to put the 38-year-old star’s mind at ease while he practices with his dancing partner Dianne Buswell, 31.

Max say the mini-cam even follows him around the room thanks to motion sensors – so there is no hiding.

The buff singer said: “It’s like a little TV screen, I’ve got a portal and it’s HD and it follows you around the room so wherever I walk it follows me.

“I turn that on so it’s like I’m there. Eyes on me.

“I’ve got security cameras. So it’s like a dog cam, so whenever me dog wakes up in the middle of the night I get little videos so I can see what he’s up to.”

He added to The Sun: “We’ve got it all covered.

“Obviously it’s hard of course and we miss each other loads but it’s just going to make the reunion even nicer, the longer it goes on.”

However, if his latest dances are anything to go by, then Stacey needn’t be worried.

In a move which has no doubt left many fans of the show secretly disappointed, Max is yet to show off his ripped torso like 2019 winner Kelvin Fletcher.

In fact, Max and Dianne’s latest dance was about as far away from sexy as possible.

The fun-loving star showed off his moves to The Simpsons theme as part of Hollywood week.

Covering himself in yellow paint, Max took on the role as Homer Simpson – even sticking a pillow under his top to fake a beer belly.

In comparison, fellow contestant Jamie Laing flashed his muscles by dressing up as Greek God Hercules.

Opening up about spending time away from Stacey and her children Libby, 17 and Zachery, 14, Max continued: “It has been really tough because as much as I’m away and working and practicing everyday with it being lockdown at home there’s not a lot to do. So without me there I guess it gets lonely.

“They’ve been nothing but supportive.

“Technically, I can see them, socially distanced, outside, but we’ve chosen not to do that. That’d be ten times as hard.”
