Olivia Colman is gearing up to make her debut in The Simpsons this coming weekend and fans can expect the actress to cause plenty of drama.
The Oscar-winning actress will appear in Sunday night’s episode, The 7 Beer Itch – which marks the 689th episode of the hit sitcom.
Olivia’s character, Lily, has been described as a “British femme fatale” and newly released pictures show the animated clip with a striking resemblance to Olivia, 46.
The brief for the yet-to-air episode reveals that Marge Simpson and her children pack up and leave the Simpsons family home and head to Martha’s Vinyard – without her husband Homer.

It’s said that Homer is “unwittingly tempted by a femme fatale” after “Mr Burns makes Homer his romantic go-between with extremely unintended consequences.”
Teaser pictures show Homer and Lily embracing one another as sparks fly when they kiss.
Producer of the show, AI Jean told US publication Variety : “She’s the woman every man falls for, she’s so charming.

“But the one man she wants is someone who doesn’t want her, Homer.”
Olivia recorded her appearance during three separate occasions remotely from a studio in London in light of the current coronavirus pandemic.
AI Jean went on to say that he and executive producer James L. Brooks believe Olivia is “one of the best guest stars we’ve ever had.”
The pair were said to be stunned after she showcased her impressive vocal range.
“[She has a fantastic singing voice, she was a total pleasure to work with.”
Later in the season, fans can expect an appearance from Stephen Fry.
Olivia is currently starring in the Netflix smash hit The Crown, taking on the role of Her Majesty The Queen.
Series four of The Crown is released on Netflix on Sunday, November 15 as Olivia makes her final appearance in the show.
