Ricky Gervais hates his body after jokes about being 'fat with sagging balls'

Ricky Gervais despises the way he looks and fears his body is crumbling due to lockdown.

The After Life creator, 59, says he hates the way he is now fat, bald, with a hairy back – and that his testicles have sagged.

The comic said in an online chat with fans he used his pre-lockdown stand-up shows to expose his self-hatred.

He said: “By the end of the gig they go, ‘F**k me, I’m glad I’m not that poor, fat f*****g, saggy-balled t**t’.”

Despite spending some time in lockdown reflecting on his appearance, Ricky has also been busy raising quite important points about his fellow celebs.

Speaking earlier this month, Ricky blasted “virtue signalling” celebrities who were still reaping the benefits of their fame.

He said on the Stuff of Legends with Christian O’Connell podcast: “This year, in particular, people were really tired of virtue signalling people telling them how to live when they were still flying around the world in private jets and never done a day’s work in their lives.

“One of the early jokes was people in the room, they’re woke, so it’s a bit ironic this is the only three hours your poorly paid house staff will get to sleep this week. Straight away I laid out the wares and it built up a crescendo to ‘you are in no position to lecture the public about anything, you spent less time in school than Greta Thunberg.’

“They’re still jokes but it’s disguised as a rant and I think people reacted to it.”

His comments came after he made a number of jokes at the Golden Globes in a seven-minute monologue.
