Susanna Reid forced to apologise for swearing on GMB amid Piers Morgan clash

Susanna Reid was left red faced during Wednesday’s edition of Good Morning Britain after Piers Morgan forced her to apologise live on air.

The TV starlet, 50, sparked mock outrage from Piers, 55, after she was told off for “using profanity” when talking about masks.

Looking shocked, Piers said: “I would like to apologise to anybody what was offended by that… using profanity this time in the morning.

“This is someone for our five year relationship, every time I have used that word has made a very pompous apology.”

Looking sheepish, Susanna replied: “Tongue in cheek mind you, but by the way we are not in a relationship!”

Smirking, Piers continued: “Yes we are. We are literally in a relationship. We work together.”

Looking baffled, Susanna chimed back: “That’s a colleague.”

Never one to let things go, Piers added: “From those immediately close to you, who is more than that?”

Laughing, the brunette babe teased: “Actually, I know, I spend far too much time with you.”

Earlier this week Piers himself was forced to issue an apology during Good Morning Britain after being photographed in a London Black Cab not wearing a mask.

Government guidelines currently state: “You must wear a face covering when using taxis or private hire vehicles.”

Speaking on Monday’s edition of the show after images of him not wearing a mask appeared on the front page of Daily Star, Piers said: “I had a friendly chat with the paparazzi.

“I bounded into the taxi after being distracted, and they descended like a pack, lit up the cab with flashbulbs, it was only as I pulled away I realised I had forgotten to put my mask on.”

Referencing his wife who was with him at the time, Piers continued: “Celia went ‘oh it doesn’t matter no one cares.’ No excuses.

“It’s a fair cop, guv. It was too late and I was nailed. I can only apologise.

“I do think masks matter, and I do think you should abide my the rules.”
