Victoria Beckham's emotional tribute after Stella Tennant suddenly dies aged 50

Victoria Beckham has penned an emotional message following the news that model Stella Tennant had passed away.

The high-end fashion designer was amongst several celebrities who paid tribute to the late model who died on Tuesday, December 22, aged 50.

Victoria, 46, shared her heartfelt condolences on her Instagram Grid as she reflected on Stella’s legacy.

Stella became one of the original models of the 90s, alongside the likes of Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss and was known for her androgynous looks and quirky sense of style.

During her career, she graced the cover of glossy magazines including British, Italian and French Vogue – as well as the prestigious Harper’s Bazaar.

Sharing a picture of Stella, Victoria said: “So saddened to hear the devastating news about Stella Tennant. She was an incredible talent and someone I had so much admiration and respect for.

“This photo is of her opening my first show back at London Fashion Week in 2018, to celebrate my 10th anniversary.”

Victoria went on to say: “It was a huge privilege to have her there and meant so much to me, I just loved everything about her. My thoughts are with her family.”

While Stella’s cause of death has not yet been revealed, police have stated that there are no suspicious circumstances.

A spokesperson for her family said: “It is with great sadness we announce the sudden death of Stella Tennant on 22nd December 2020.

“Stella was a wonderful woman and an inspiration to us all. She will be greatly missed.

“Her family ask for their privacy to be respected. Arrangements for a memorial service will be announced at a later date.”

Fashion designer Stella McCartney also took to social media to share a personal tribute to her late friend.

Stella, 49, said: “My darling Stella, I f**king love you and will miss you so, so terribly. What sad, horrific news to end this already shocking year!

“My heart goes out to your stunning family who must be in such undeserving pain. I am speechless… Rest in peace, you inspiring woman. Your soul and inner beauty exceeded the external perfection, Stella. May you ride high above us all on the most perfect horse, eternally in peace. x Stella.”

Tennant who was once the muse of Gianni Versace and Karl Lagerfeld is survived by her four children and ex-husband, David Lasnet.

She was the daughter of Hon. Tobias William Tennant, son of the 2nd Baron Glenconner, and Lady Emma Cavendish.
