X Factor's Honey G to launch fitness video after shedding two stone in lockdown

X Factor icon Honey G has shed the pounds since coronavirus forced the country into lockdown earlier this year and the rapper is planning on sharing her weight loss tips with her fans.

The 39-year-old artist, whose real name is Anna Gilford, told Daily Star in September that she’d lost two stone since March by taking part in intense exercise sessions, mammoth triathlons as well as Hatha Yoga classes.

In a bid to help others lose some of the added Christmas pounds, the TV star has revealed that she will be releasing her own weight loss video in the new year.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, the rap artist said: “Lockdown has been difficult for everyone but I took it head on and I tried to make the best of a really tough situation and I suppose as a result good things have come my way.

“In a weird way I suppose it has been my year and I couldn’t be happier.

“I’ve been training non-stop since March and I want to help others achieve their goals.

“I’ve designed a weight loss video with my personal trainer and it will be available on Amazon Prime Direct in the new year.”

The music producer went on to admit that she will still be enjoying her favourite foods over the festive period.

“I’m definitely going to push the boat out until the end of the year and I’m going to have some nice food over Christmas and New Year,” she said.

“I will be implementing a strict low carbohydrate diet in January and a lot more training, running and exercise.

“I want to do a lot more high-resistance training and core. My stomach is an area I am really determined to work on.”

Looking ahead to the next 12 months, the reality star has revealed that she’ll be continuing to make music and will be focusing on her new book.

“There will be a plan in place in 2021 for some new music and I’ve got a publishing deal to release a book on my life,” she explained.

“It is part of a company called SRL Publishing LTD and their breaking the silence programme.

“I’m hoping for it to come out in the next few months and I hope my fans enjoy reading my gripping and shocking life story.”

Honey G is going to take part in a live workout on Daily Star’s Facebook page on Thursday January 7 at 2.30pm
