BGT's David Walliams makes cheeky dig at Amanda Holden with surgery jibe

Britain’s Got Talent’sDavid Walliams directed a savage dig at Amanda Holden tonight with a cheeky surgery comment.

The 48-year-old comedian made the sassy comment to Amanda, 49, who has been open about having botox in the past.

It was during an impressive drumming act called Crissy Lee, who was aged 77.

David told the talented musician that she looked amazing, asking her if she’d had any work done.

When she said no, David turned to look at Amanda and said cheekily: “Wow, someone in the room who’s not had work done…”

In a 2009 interview with Daily Mail, Amanda admitted to availing of Botox, later swearing off the injections after a stint in LA.

She said: “I haven’t had Botox for eight or nine months and when I’m out in LA, I think about it even less.

“It puts me off when I see people out there. Everyone looks the same and it’s quite grotesque.

“It was something I used when I was in sunnier climates in South Africa.”

Simon Cowell admitted last year that himself and Amanda had used “too much” Botox.

Speaking ahead of a semi-final for BGT: The Champions last year, Simon said: “I love watching ”the Botox years.” All of us are like, Christ, we had a lot that year. Not so much that year… maybe a bit too much that year.

“You know, the old clips of us are hysterical, Amanda’s always like, ‘What was I thinking?”, I said, ‘Well, I don’t look a lot better.’ I look all right now, but certain years it was like, ”Wow, I don’t know what was going on.'”

In 2014 Amanda confirmed that she had given up Botox following the difficult birth of her daughter Hollie in 2012.

Speaking on This Morning she said: “Everybody knows that in the past, yes, I’ve talked about having Botox.

“Since spending too much time in intensive care after nearly losing a baby, I’ve not gone under the knife or had any injections.

“But I have facials, I buy things from well-known chemists, it’s not how I look physically, it’s how my husband and how I feel about myself.”
