Christine McGuinness has given fans an update on her mum following her devastating breast cancer diagnosis.

The former Real Housewives of Cheshire star admitted that she won’t be able to see her mum for the next six months as she shields during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Earlier this month, the 32-year-old said that her world had fallen apart after learning of her mum’s diagnosis.

Now, the former model has spoken about her children finding it difficult to come to terms with the fact they won’t see their gran in coming months as she undergoes radio and chemotherapy.

Alongside a snap of her three children, Penelope, seven, Leo, seven, and Felicity, four, and her mum, Christine penned an emotional message.

She said: “Weekends aren’t the same without nanny. My mum is a huge part of my children’s routine and they just don’t understand why they can’t see nanny anymore,

“Lots of you have asked how she’s doing, she did amazing with her lumpectomy and is starting 6 months of chemotherapy and radiotherapy next week.”

The blonde bombshell added: “My mum has got to shield herself for at least 6 months, it’s awful, we can’t even give her a cuddle.

A second went on to say: “Lots of love to you all but especially your mum, wishing her all the best for a speedy recovery.”

Christine announced during an Instagram Live session that she would not be returning to the upcoming series of Real Housewives of Cheshire.

She said: “I’ve got to make time for other things and with any time that I’ve got I need to spend it with the family and children. I’m still going to be about. You’re probably going to see more of me and it’s all really exciting.

“I’m sort of pinching myself I can’t believe my luck, but I’m also quite sad that I’m not going to be filming with the Housewives who start filming now in the next few weeks but yeah I’m not going back this series, but I’m moving on.”
