Coronation Street Daniel Osbourne wows with transformation as he finally returns

Coronation Street grieving dad Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) is set to return to Weatherfield next week, after heading off to a grief retreat recently.

The single father was struggling for months after the death of his wife Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) last year, lashing out at those around him and quickly falling for Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon).

But next week Coronation Street spoilers have revealed he returns to the street after getting past his downward spiral thanks to the grief retreat which was suggested to him.

When he’s back in Weatherfield, Daniel goes to meet with his dad Ken Barlow (Bill Roache), who is seriously impressed.

The Corrie icon is thrilled to see how much Daniel has improved, as he appears to be a completely new man.

Looking much sharper with his beard neat and his hair coiffed, Daniel appears to be back to his old self.

He makes it clear how much of a positive experience the retreat was.

Does that mean Daniel will be able to move into a happier period of his life?

Or could something set him back into grieving for Sinead?

It’s not the only big news for the Barlows, as Ken ended his romance with Claudia Colby (Rula Lenska) as he was so unhappy living at the old age complex.

He then decided to go back to Coronation Street, just weeks after he made the jaw-dropping decision to move away.

Now, actress Rula Lenska has reportedly quit the soap, which she’s been a part of on and off since 2009.

A source told The Sun: “The door is definitely open for Rula to return and Claudia still has connections on the street.

“But for now Claudia’s life is on the veranda of Stillwaters and Ken belongs in his backstreet boozer.”

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm on ITV
