EastEnders' Natalie Cassidy shares rare photo with hunky fiancé she met on set

EastEnders actress Natalie Cassidy has shared a sweet tribute to her leading man, taking to Instagram to brand the cameraman as her “soulmate”.

The 37-year-old soap star could be seen looking lovingly into her fiancé Marc Humphreys’ eyes, as the two celebrated having some peace and quiet in the evening.

Reflecting on the chaos of 2020, Natalie wrote: “It doesn’t really matter what’s going on as long as we have each other.”

Poking fun at herself, she added: “And yes. My nose is rather large.”

The actress, who has played Walford favourite Sonia Fowler since 1993, then added the hashtags “soulmates,” “laughter is the best medicine,” “kids are in bed” and “peace at last”.

Taking to the comment section below, Natalie’s followers felt their hearts warm at the sight of the loved-up couple, as they wished the pair happiness.

One said: “Can’t wait to see you back, hope you get a big storyline soon. We all need a Sonia.”

“Absolutely nothing wrong with your nose. Look at the smile on your face and love in your eyes,” wrote a second.

And a third chimed: “Couple goals. Your smiles speak volumes…Magical and priceless…”

Natalie has played Sonia for 27 years, growing up with the soap

Marc and Natalie got engaged in 2015, and announced they were expecting their first child together the following year.

The camera whizz popped the question on the one-year anniversary of their relationship, though the sweethearts are taking their time when it comes to making it down the aisle.

Their daughter, Joanie Elizabeth Cassidy-Humphreys, was born in August 2016, and Natalie has a daughter named Eliza, 10, from a previous relationship with her ex-partner Adam Cottrell.

Though Marc usually works behind the scenes on EastEnders, earlier this year fans got a glimpse of him in action with the camera crew.

During an episode of Secrets from the Square, presented by Stacey Dooley, Ian Beale actor Adam Woodyatt gave Marc a shout-out.

Gesturing backstage, he remarked: “We have to be nice to him because he’s with Nat.”

Stacey was previously unaware of Marc’s famous fiancée, as she remarked: “Are you? You’re Sonia’s husband?”
