Elton John has recently completed the Aussie leg of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour and while Down Under made sure to enjoy spending time with his family.

The rockstar shared multiple snaps to his Instagram account of his two sons, Zachary, nine, and Elijah, seven, who seemed to be enjoying their time and taking in the sights the country has to offer.

It’s a rare sight for Elton’s sons to be caught on camera as the famous couple opt to keep their sons out of the public eye.

However, the two tots seemed to be enjoying the quality time with their dad’s and were snapped taking part in multiple outings which included surfing, petting kangaroos, feeding giraffes and fishing.

Taking to Instagram, The Rocket Man shared a series of pictures alongside the caption: “Australia, you have stolen our family’s heart. We’ve been residents here since the end of November and we are sad to say good-bye.

“We want to say huge thank-you to EVERYONE who has welcomed our family so warmly.”

Elton was forced to pull out of two concerts in New Zealand last month after he was diagnosed with walking pneumonia.

Hours before he was due to take to the stage, promoters claimed that Elton was fit enough to perform despite having to leave a performance early.

The week before, Elton broke down in tears after he lost his voice during a show at an Auckland stadium.

Sharing the news of his diagnosis, the singer said: “I want to thank everyone who attended tonight’s gig in Auckland.

“I was diagnosed with walking pneumonia earlier today, but I was determined to give you the best show humanly possible. I played and sang my heart out until my voice could sing no more.”
