Fleabag 'Hot Priest' Andrew Scott raced to hospital for surgery

Fleabag actor Andrew Scott has been rushed to hospital, according to reports.

The 34-year-old star is said to require minor surgery.

The news was confirmed by The Old Vic Theatre in London where he was due to perform a live-streamed show later this week.

The official Old Vic Theatre Twitter account posted: “We are sorry to let you know that Andrew Scott is now in hospital to undergo minor surgery and we therefore need to reschedule this week’s performances of #OVInCamera #OVThreeKings.

Scott had been booked for five performances of Three Kings at the iconic theatre from July 29 to August 1.

The shows will now be rescheduled to later this summer.

Giving more details on the situation, The Old Vic continued: “The issue isn’t serious (or COVID-19 related) and we are expecting Andrew to have a speedy recovery. He sends his love and apologies and says he’ll see everyone next week.

“We’re rescheduling #OVInCamera #OVThreeKings to Fri 07 and Sat 08 Aug. The #OVInConversation event will move to Sat 08 Aug, 9pm BST.

“If you didn’t manage to get a ticket, more will be released across all price bands from 10am tomorrow.

“Thank you to everyone for your kindness and patience.”

A rep for Andrew Scott has been contacted by Daily Star Online for comment.

The concerning news was met with warm wishes from fans of the star who all wished Andrew the best.

One fan wrote: “Wishing Andrew a speedy recovery!

“Thank you for so kindly and efficiently rebooking our tickets. I appreciate you.”
