Frankie Bridge rushes son Parker to hospital as he's left 'gasping for air'

Frankie Bridge revealed she had to rush her six-year-old son Parker to hospital after he was left “gasping for air” while suffering a croup attack.

The 31-year-old former Saturdays star told her fans it was a “terrifying” ordeal at the time, but said he was doing well the next morning.

Parker suffers from croup, a condition that occurs in young children and babies.

Affecting the windpipe, it can leave the child struggling to breath, and when an attack occurs they should be taken to A&E.

To treat it, the child is given oxygen and a shot of adrenaline.

After Parker’s croup attack, Frankie shared a photograph of her cuddling her son in her arms to her Instagram story.

She told her 1.2million followers: “Was in a&e last night with this little guy… with yet another croup attack…

“Doesn’t matter how many times it happens… to see someone grasping for air is always terrifying.

“Breaks my heart. But he’s absolutely fine now… all just very sleepy…”

Later on in the day, Frankie told fans she was “very tired” after the exhausting incident the night before.

She shared a boomerang of herself in her car after the long night in A&E.

Frankie said: “One very tired, emotionally drained mummy.”

She also explained that her youngest son, Carter, managed to sleep right through the incident.

The star wrote on her Instagram that he was “full of beans” and got her up and awake after three hours sleep.

Singer Frankie has been honest and open about Parker’s condition, and previously remarked how her son can “bounce back” after being so poorly.

She said at the time: “The face of a proud emotionally drained Mum who’s child has been really poorly and scared her half to death and a child who is the prime example of how well and quickly they bounce back.”

Frankie also said: “This little man is so full of love and this surprise hug felt more amazing than he will ever know… not sure who was looking after who…?”
