Gemma Collins says 'good riddance to bad rubbish' as she offers romance advice

TOWIE star Gemma Collins took to her podcast platform to give out relationship advice to a fan who had been dumped.

The 39 year old was overcome with emotion as she received the email from someone called Rebecca, who said that her husband had left her and would no longer answer the phone.

In response to the email, Gemma told said “good riddance to bad rubbish,” which seemed to be quite a poignant message, given her recent split from James ‘Arg’ Argent.

Gemma revealed on Tuesday that she had called time on her relationship with Arg ,32, and she had shared an array of private messages between she and her ex.

Taking to her Instagram story she leaked their texts after the on-off couple had been caught up in a heated argument before Arg cruelly labelled Gemma a “hippo” and a “fat f**k”.

On her podcast, Gemma became tearful while reading out Rebecca’s email that revealed she’d been blocked by her partner and needed to cancel her wedding in December.

She said: “Oh my God this is terrible, I’m going to start crying in a minute.

“Rebecca, I’m nearly crying here because I genuinely feel gutted for you – good riddance to bad rubbish, this is what I’m saying.

“It’s very weird. It’s very… I mean, you know this person more than me, is something going on with him? I mean, I wouldn’t have no one blocking me, I’d be driving round to their house, knocking on the door, saying, ‘Excuse me mate, you’re meant to be marrying me in a couple of weeks.'”

Continuing to give advice, she said: “I couldn’t let this situation go. I don’t know the ins and outs of this because I’m just reading your email, but the fact that he’s just ended it over the phone and gone missing, I couldn’t sleep at night.

“Hun, you need to go round to the house. You need some answers and then you need to sell your wedding dress and get on with your life.”

The email that seemed to resonate with Gemma personally, found the listener questioning if her fiancé’s departure had been a “blessing”.

With no hesitation at all, the GC responded: “As you say, it’s been a blessing in disguise, I’d need a few more answers but ultimately look, it’s best it all got cancelled because if you was to get married and he called it off two weeks later that would have been a hell of a lot worse.

“Imagine all the paperwork you’d have to fill in getting divorced and all that, so Rebecca stay strong honey, don’t let no one put you down, get the answers that you need and then hopefully this could turn around or just sell it all off, wipe a line under it and hun, get back out there and find the new one to marry.”

Gemma broke off her on/off relationship, following an explosive bust-up, which was reportedly triggered by Arg allegedly saying he wanted an “open relationship”.

The GC was thought to be “heartbroken” after their exchange of words but has now apologised to Arg for airing their private affairs.
