GMB's Charlotte Hawkins suffers leggy wardrobe blunder in hot pink stilettos

Charlotte Hawkins suffered a hilarious wardrobe blunder on today’s Good Morning Britain, realising she was wearing odd shoes throughout the show.

The 45-year-old presenter was stunned when she copped that her hot pink stilettos were completely different designs – while one shoe was decorated with a bow, the other was crocodile-print.

Owning up to the hilarious blunder over Twitter, the ITV star shared a photograph of her legs, with the odd shoes plonked on each foot.

Clearly amused by her own wardrobe mishap, she wrote: “So I must have been half asleep this morning getting ready – I managed to find shoes that perfectly matched my dress… but not each other!!

“This is what happens when our GMB stylist #debbiedresses isn’t around!”

Equally entertained by the gaffe, Charlotte’s co-host Adil Ray made light of the shoe disaster, wondering why the GMB star had been so distracted.

Replying over Twitter, he wrote: “When presenting I depend on my co-host. You want to be in safe, reassuring hands.

Charlotte received the joke well, replying: “Is it a reasonable defence that my mind was obviously on far more important matters this morning…?!”

The mum-of-one, who is wed to Mark Herbert, made headlines this week when she unexpectedly replaced Kate Garraway.

Kate, 53, recently returned to the morning breakfast show after months of absence, having taken leave to care for her family amid her husband’s health battle.

Kate is due to return to GMB on Monday morning

Her husband, Derek Draper, has been hospitalised since March, his body fighting the damage caused by coronavirus earlier this year.

Kate returned on Monday to co-host along with Ben Shephard, but mysteriously disappeared on Wednesday, only for Charlotte to fill in.

However, viewers can look forward to seeing Kate return to the show next week, brightening Britain’s mornings with her wit and warmth.

Good Morning Britain airs on weekdays at 6am on ITV.
