Jamie Oliver likens Madonna to a 'piece of meat' in brutal jibe

Jamie Oliver is no stranger to controversy with his forceful advice on healthy eating but he hit his latest target with a truly bizarre jibe.

The TV chef, 45, has hit out at pop legend Madonna while speaking to Magic Radio.

Jamie, who has been isolating with his wife Jools, 45, and their five children took to the airwaves to discuss cooking with his son Buddy, during the lockdown period.

The star took tips from regular presenters Tom Price and Harriet Scott on how to introduce music to the nation in an unusual way.

Tom, 40, suggested that Jamie imagined Like A Virgin songstress Madonna as a “piece of meat”.

Famed for his recipes, Jamie quipped: “Ooh, I’m just gonna marinade her with thyme and garlic and lemon and just get her on the grill.”

Jamie went on to reveal that he had been struggling when it came to homeschooling his five kids.

He added that while some of his children had been given enough work by their school teachers, he had been left to fill in huge gaps.

“I had one kid that had really good home-schooling and one that was kind of left to it,”

“I think for parents all around the country, home-schooling has been a blend of misery and, and misery,” he confessed.

Fans of Jamie have been keeping up to date with his lockdown antics over on Instagram, regularly cooking up a storm with Buddy, 9.

Revealing all about his latest project which encourages kids to send in their own cooking videos, Jamie added: “We’re doing this thing called cooking buddies where we’re trying to get other kids from other countries all around the world to send in simple videos of family favourite meals.”

Joking that his son has become more popular than him, he joked: “So, Buds has been doing, like, you know, a video a week and he’s been getting more views than me.”

While opening up about wanting to expand their brood the model admitted to having suffered five miscarriages in the past.

Speaking on the podcast Made By Mammas, host Zoe Hardman spoke to Jools about having another baby, and whether she’s “pining for a sixth child” before she turns 47 next year.

Jools replied: “I really do, I really do, but I’ve just had three miscarriages since then [River’s birth] and I’m thinking – and a recent one three weeks ago – and I’m thinking: ‘No.’

Jamie and Jools share Poppy, 18, Daisy, 17, Petal, 11, Buddy, nine, and River, three.
