Katie Price declares 'I'm back' as she marks 3 months being sober and drug-free

Katie Price has marked three months of being sober and drug-free after her life spiralled out of control.

The model checked into The Priory rehab back in January and bravely documented her journey for her reality TV show, My Crazy Life.

She has now revealed that she has been clean of drugs and alcohol for three months – and declared: “I’m back”.

Her sobriety was confirmed after strands of her hair were tested.

Speaking to The Sun Online today, Katie told of her pride at her achievement and wants everyone “to see this is for real, not another come back come back.”

Katie previously admitted she had “been to hell and back” and turned to drugs to “numb the pain”.

But the 41-year-old says the new clean slate has left her feeling the most empowered she’s ever felt since giving birth to her five children.

A publicist for the mum told the publication: “Katie has passed both a drug and alcohol test with no traces of either in three months.

“Katie is not only determined to make the changes, but to stick to them, no more second chances – Katie’s had a real wake up call.”

The glamour model has previously admitted to using cocaine in order to “numb the pain” she was feeling.

Chatting with pal Rick on her TV show, Katie said: “So that’s why I turned to something to escape from that, and mine ended up being the coke.

“This is why I can’t go back to my house, the times I’ve done coke there, all the parties there.

“It got to the point where I literally can’t talk to anyone. My mum is terminally ill, I don’t want to stress her out.”

She added: “Yeah, I turned to coke and I turned to drink.”

Revealing all to the cameras, Katie went on to say she had been to hell and back during the time leading up to her going into rehab.

“I’ve been slowly going off the rails for just over 10 years. At times I’ve been a mess.”

Katie believes that her TV special will be the final chapter of her “nightmare” and that she can now start a whole new one.
