Kelly Osbourne admits 'embalming' her body during drug-fuelled party heyday

Kelly Osbourne has shared the heartbreaking truth behind her battle with drugs and alcohol.

The Fashion Police presenter, 35, revealed she counted she would live to see her 35th birthday after frequently passing out from drugs and partying.

Kelly, who is the daughter of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne and music icon Sharon Osbourne was hooked on a vast array of drugs including amphetamines, marijuana and tranquilisers during her wilder days.

The Papa Don’t Preach songstress claimed she was scared she would end up dead due to her cocktails of drugs.

“I never thought I’d be alive at 35-years-old.

“A lot of my friends didn’t make it and burying them was hard. I had survivors guilt for a long time. I’m almost three years sober,” she told DJ Fat Tony on his podcast, The Recovery.

Kelly was a close friend of singer Amy Winehouse, who tragically passed away in 2011 aged just 27.

Amy’s cause of death was ruled as alcohol poisoning.

Opening up about her struggles, Kelly said: “I never truly slept, I would pass out from whatever I drank or took and came to.

“I was in a haze of hangovers and withdrawals. I don’t know how I did it for as long as I did. I embalmed my body.”

After hitting rock bottom the Westminister-born star added that she would put blackout blinds around her home so she didn’t know what time it was.

“I picked up the phone and I was really drunk when I called my brother Jack.

“I got into his car. I was wearing a T-shirt and underwear. I remember saying to him, crying, ‘I don’t want to be a fat drunk loser any more. I want to be a skinny winner.'”

The Masked Singer US star often lied about her drug battle, once saying in 2014: “I never take drugs.”

While in isolation at her parents Los Angeles home, Kelly admitted: “Some days I’m white-knuckling a chair and thinking, ‘I want to get high right now’.”

But went on to say that her famous parents encouraged her sobriety saying: “Kelly you are so different now.”

Kelly hopes to “help one person,” as she celebrates being sober for three years.
