Linda Nolan worried 'this Christmas will be last' amid devastating cancer battle

Linda Nolan has told of her heartbreak and admitted she may not see another Christmas after being dealt a shattering blow.

The Nolan’s songstress is battling incurable secondary breast cancer and liver cancer.

Linda, 61,has previously battled breast cancer in 2006, cellulitis and lymphoedema in her arm in 2007 and secondary cancer on her pelvis in 2017.

Now Coleen Nolan’s sister spoke candidly about coping with disease and told how she has managed to get her depression “under control with anti-depressants and counselling.”

Speaking to Bella Magazine the Celebrity Big Brother  star painfully said: “I lie in bed and I wonder how long I’ll be here, if I’ll see my great-nieces and nephews grow into adults, or if this Christmas is going to be my last.”

Addressing her regrets as to not having any children with her late husband Brian, she added: “It’s nobody’s fault I just left it too late.

“I put my career in the way. It’s my biggest regret in life but I don’t dwell on it.”

Chart-toppers Linda and Anne, 69, both revealed their shattering diagnosis this summer after they discovered their news just days apart.

Speaking to RTE Radio 1’s Marty Morrissey, the I’m In The Mood for Dancing singer spoke about her diagnosis which she received shortly after returning from filming The Nolans Go Cruising.

“When I got back I had to get injections for my cancer, to keep it at bay, into my stomach every month.

“They were delayed by about three weeks which was a concern at the time and I thought, ‘Yeah but cancer doesn’t wait even though we’ve got to deal with Covid. I still have to be looked after’.

“I was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer and Anne had breast cancer, a new breast cancer.”

She went on to share positive news: “I’m doing well. We finished our chemo and just waiting for test results, that’s all and well waiting for my hair to grow back again.”

She is currently isolating at home with sister and bandmate Maureen Nolan.
