Loose Women's Janet Street-Porter fuming as she hits out over ITV 'snub'

Loose Women returned to our screens this afternoon for the latest edition of the popular ITV daytime show.

Good Morning Britain star Ranvir Singh was in the anchor’s seat today alongside Gloria Hunniford and Janet Street-Porter, and Judi Love joined in the conversation via a video link from the comfort of her own home.

Things turned awkward in the studio on Wednesday as Janet lashed out at ITV bosses over the show’s latest competition.

Former Strictly Come Dancing star Vick Hope is currently presenting the channel’s mega prize giveaway.

A competition segment filmed in Whitstable, Kent was shown during today’s Loose Women with Vick, 30, explaining how viewers can win a whooping £90,000 with the ITV competition.

The camera panned to an unhappy Janet, 73, after the competition clip ended.

“That was filmed right outside my house in Kent,” the feisty journalist ranted.

She added: “The only reason I wasn’t asked because I don’t look as good in a white playsuit as her.

“I could have done that.”

Janet pointed out that Vick Hope’s competition segment was find “outside her house” and was fuming that bosses didn’t ask her to host the cash giveaway

Janet later got her left leg out from behind the desk and extended it to prove that she would be good enough to host the competition segment.

Gloria cheekily asked: “If we got you that white outfit would you do it?”

Janet responded: “Look, If you don’t win don’t come round to my house.

“When I put my swimming costume on and go in the sea, I’m going to have people coming up to me now saying ‘I didn’t win’.”

Janet got up to show off her leg to prove that she was good enough to present the competition

Outspoken Janet couldn’t help but make yet another dig when the competition footage was replayed later on in the show.

Janet said: “Whitstable!”

Ranivr added: “It’s a sore subject. Shall we clam down and move on?”

Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV at 12.30pm
