Lottie Moss opens up about mental health struggle and numbing with 'substances'

Model Lottie Moss has revealed that she has experimented with “substances” and claims that they sent her mental health on a downward spiral.

Kate Moss’ 22-year-old sister took to Instagram to share that she had turned to substances when she was feeling low but added that she is in a better place now.

The blonde beauty went on to reveal she has now turned substances down and said goodbye to a bad crowd.

Recently, many people have been feeling anxious due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic that sees the UK entering its fifth week of lockdown, but Lottie has offered hope to those who may need it.

Taking to the photosharing site where she has 297,000 followers the stunner said: “I have never been happier mentally, I’ve struggled a lot in the last few years with myself and anxiety and other things.

“Right now is the first time I have ever put myself first and actually worked on myself to make sure I get the best out of my life and am actually feeling like the best and truest version of myself! And I love her!”

The socialite continued to say that she had mixed with illegal substances in hopes of boosting her morale but added that they had the opposite effect on her.

“My struggles have caused me to act out of character and ultimately I think I was becoming a person that I didn’t really like which is why I numbed myself with substances and put myself down through neglect of my mental health and my general health.

“Going down that road made it very hard for me to get out, I was surrounding myself with people who were a similar mental state to me and I can see now that was not helping.”

Lottie went on to say: “Manifest good things and good things will come back!

“I’m ready to be better for my family friends and for me! and I hope others take this time to self reflect and figure out who and where you want to be in life.”

Reaching out to those who may need support, Inger Moss’ daughter added: “I will also be doing lives every Friday night at around 9 to talk about these things with anyone who wants to join the live!”

Her post which has now been liked over 7000 times was inundated with support from pals.

Made In Chelsea’s Ollie Locke commented: “We both love you very much darling and love having you apart of our lives!”

While Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Delilah Belle added: “I love you so much and am so proud of you. You are so beautiful inside and out and we in this together girl.”

Lottie’s mum, Inger Moss added: “I love her too darling!! So proud of you.”
