Louise Redknapp's heartbreaking Strictly confession during her marriage to Jamie

Louise and Jamie Redknapp seemed to be love’s young dream back when they were married, completely shocking their fans when they filed for divorce in 2017.

However, during her stint on Strictly Come Dancing, Louise opened up about her hopes to one day become a mum to a daughter.

When they said “I do” in an intimate ceremony in Bermuda in 1998, the eternal band member was a star in her own right and Jamie was a Premier League footballer.

Early into their marriage, Louise was diagnosed with the painful disorder endometriosis, that can lead to difficulties with becoming pregnant easily.

Six years into their marriage, Jamie and the former girlband member welcomed their first son, Charley into the world.

The couple hit the jackpot when they became parents for a second time with son Beau completing their brood in 2009.

Overjoyed that her family was now complete, Louise left behind her successful career in the spotlight as she supported her husband from the sidelines as he transitioned from football to TV.

But, in 2016, it was Louise’s time to shine as she took centre stage on Strictly Come Dancing, partnering with Kevin Clifton.

Louise and Kevin’s partnership was a match made in heaven with pair really hitting it off and earning themselves a place in the final.

Professional dancer Kevin had received quite the Strictly reputation for his former partners, Frankie Bridge and Kellie Bright, conceiving shortly after appearing the show.

She told The Sun: “Maybe he’s the good luck charm I need to get that girl I really want.

“Jamie would love another baby, I’m not getting any younger so we’ll see what happens. But I’m in Strictly shape now so we’ll see.”

Despite her urges to become pregnant, her yearning to perform again took over after she’d had a taste of the showbiz lifestyle on the BBC competition.

She admitted in an emotional interview with The Sunday Telegraph she relayed that Strictly had been her saviour.

Louise said: “Standing by and watching Jamie become this entertainment star was pretty hard.

“I was proud of him, but there was part of me thinking, ‘that’s my world’. I could see the excitement he got out of it and I knew how that felt. But it wasn’t me feeling it anymore.”
