Love Island's Lucie Donlan and Luke M 'newly dating' but haven't met up yet

There’s a romance brewing between two Love Island alumni – Luke Mabbott and Lucie Donlan.

Luke, who appeared on the Winter series earlier this year, made it to the final of the hit dating show with Demi Jones, however, months later called time on their relationship because they couldn’t make the romance last long distance.

With Luke residing up North in Redcar and Demi living in Portsmouth, the 212 miles between the pair became too much.

However, the long-distance hasn’t put the Justin Bieber lookalike off striking up something with Lucie, who lives on the coast in Cornwall.

A source told The Sun it’s early days for the pair, who are hoping to meet IRL soon.

The insider said: “Luke and Lucie have been speaking for a few weeks but they haven’t actually met up yet.”

Eagle-eyed fans have noticed Lucie’s recent Instagram captions hint at a possible new romance, but she has played coy over who is behind giving her “butterflies”.

Alongside a sultry swimsuit snap, she wrote: “Dear tummy…Sorry for all the butterflies lately.

“I swear it’s not my fault, it’s his.”

Meanwhile, Luke cryptically suggested a romance was brewing with the blonde bombshell as he wrote: “Since you’ve been around I smile a lot more than I used to.”

But it seems word about Luke’s new love interest hasn’t flown under the radar with ex Demi as she seemingly warned Lucie off her former flame in an Instagram post.

After Lucie quipped “catching feelings not flights,” Demi posted her own racy Instagram with the line: “Honey take my advice, catch that flight'”.

Demi previously discussed her split with Luke and said the reality TV star put “little effort” into their short-lived relationship.

Speaking to the MailOnline last month, she put the split down to lack of communication during the lockdown and said it was “bad timing”.

“We’ve completely called it off now, I think it was brought about more from his behalf than mine, but we’re mutual and friendly.

“With lockdown, it drove us apart and we live so far away from each other. I feel like there wasn’t a lot of effort made with communication, so we drifted as a result. It’s a shame and bad timing.”
