Rita Ora angers neighbours with escape to the country amid coronavirus lockdown

Singer Rita Ora has been slammed by angry locals after she escaped to the country for the UK coronavirus lockdown.

It’s believed that Rita is relaxing in the South West, 150 miles from her London home after backing Boris Johnson’s decision to place the UK on lockdown.

The Let You Love Me songstress will stay at the luxury holiday home until it is safe for social restrictions to be lifted, which is believed to be in three weeks.

However, despite being in tranquil surroundings, Rita has allegedly infuriated local residents with by enjoying bike rides and wandering on to privately owned land.

Sources close to Rita have said that she left London before the lockdown was implemented.

Taking to a local residents Facebook group, one disgruntled neighbour penned: “Surely she should respect the rules and have stayed in f*****g London?”

While The Sun reports that another angry villager claims her son, seven, was “reduced to tears” by security staff working with Rita as the family took a walk on a local footpath.

The mum added: “Minutes later a drone sent up from the property followed us as we walked away.”

Rita, 29, has been flaunting her impressive getaway to her 16.2 million Instagram followers while using the hashtags “#stayhome” as well as “#activitiesfromhome”.

Despite the claims, sources close to the blonde beauty said she is staying at the home while working on her upcoming album and denies throwing any parties and upsetting locals.

The insider told The Sun: “She is deadly serious about coronavirus lockdown and doing her bit by self- isolating and not travelling home.”

Meanwhile, Rita recently confirmed she is joining the one up for One World: Together at Home, alongside Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga.
