Susanna Reid red-faced as she suffers GMB wardrobe malfunction in silk dress

Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid was left very red-faced as she was forced to try and move her dress around as her microphone came loose live on air.

Lifting up the neckline of the pale pink silk dress, Susanna had to rummage around to try and put her microphone back in place while presenting the show.

As her co-star Adil Ray asked if she was all right, Susanna had to explain what had happened, revealing she had mic issues.

She mumbled to herself as she said: “I’m getting all tied up, technology.”

Poor Susanna was caught out as she fiddled with her dress on air

The show then went over to Lorraine Kelly, as Susanna moaned about how she must never experience the same problem.

Lorraine replied: “I was just doing the same thing, mine fell as well!” as the pair explained it was because they had to mic themselves up because no one else could get close to them because of distancing rules.

Adil jokingly said that he was “working with amateurs” as Susanna finally managed to sort herself out, asking Lorraine what she had coming up on the show.

Susanna was wearing a seriously glamorous dusky pink silk dress which featured a yellow and purple floral design all over the material.

The frock also featured mid-length sleeves and a peephole neckline, stealing the show as Susanna presented alongside Adil and Kate Garraway.

Meanwhile, Kate revealed her heartbreak today as she told her co-stars that it was her 15th wedding anniversary with her husband Derek Draper.

However, Kate won’t be able to see Derek in hospital as she opened up to Susanna and Adil, saying: “It’s actually Derek and I’s wedding anniversary today, unbelievably.

“15 years today – Richard and Hilary were there on the day, I think. But yeah, what an extraordinary thing.

“I won’t be able to see him today. I kind of hoped he would but it hasn’t worked out that way for the visits. But maybe it would be a bit strange anyway.

“So yeah, it’s a tough day but he’s still here. There’s not a huge amount that’s changed.”

She added: “There’s so much that happens in those couple of weeks – seeming positives and plungings.”

GMB continues tomorrow at 6am on ITV.
