Sylvester Stallone’s touching tribute to mum Jackie after CBB star dies aged 98

Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone paid tribute to his mother after she died aged 98.

Former Celebrity Big Brother contestant Jackie Stallone passed away in her sleep on Monday.

The Rocky star, 74, posted a photo of her wearing boxing gloves on Twitter with the words: “A mother who has always believed and encouraged her sons.

“She was the No.1 fan of Sly and Frank. She will be remembered forever for her charisma and love.”

His brother Frank announced celebrity astrologer Jackie’s death on Facebook, saying: “Her mind was as sharp as a razor till the day she died.”

He wrote: “My brothers and I lost our mother, Jackie Stallone.

“She was the mother to four children, Tommy, Sylvester, Frankie and my late sister Toni Ann. She was a remarkable woman.”

He did not share the cause of her death but added: “She died in her sleep as she had wished. It was hard not to like her, she was eccentric and flamboyant.

“I would talk to her for hours about the 20s, 30s and 40s. It was a history lesson.

“My brother Sylvester took care of her like a Queen for all of her life.

“But we all loved her and her spirit to prevail. I’ll miss you mommy.”

Frank said he is “drowning emotions in tears and too much vino,” but “when you’ve known someone for 70 years” it is “tough and sad”.

The women’s wrestling promoter had a stint in the CBB house in 2005.

A surprise contestant, Stallone entered much to the shock of co-housemate and former daughter-in-law Brigitte Nielsen, with whom she had a frosty relationship.

Upon seeing Stallone, a stunned Nielsen exclaimed: “Oh my God. Jackie.”

In response, Stallone, wearing a fur coat and sunglasses, replied: “Yeah… Jackie.”

She was evicted from the house four days later, following clashes with racing pundit John McCririck.

She was married three times and had three sons and a daughter, Toni D’Alto, who died in 2012.
