TOWIE's Harry Derbidge slams vile trolls over nasty weight gain jibes

The Only Way Is Essex star Harry Derbidge has hit back at nasty trolls after being targeted over his weight gain.

The TOWIE favourite, 26, took to his official Twitter account on Tuesday to slam the vile comments he has received from keyboard warriors.

Harry, who is makeup artist, penned: “”Honestly… I won’t say this again, I haven’t had any filler or Botox in my face, the only thing I have had done is a tiny bit of lip filler…

“So can we all stop comparing 16 year old Harry to 26 year old Harry. It actually makes me laugh…

“And to them saying I’ve piled on the pounds, the answer is… yes I have.

“I went through a terrible eating disorder and I have worked so hard on myself to over come it over the years, and honestly… I think I look better then ever.”

Amy Child’s cousin went on to thank other fans for giving sending him love and support.

Harry wrote: “I do want to thank everyone who has been sending me such lovely messages, they all do not go unnoticed.”

The reality star appeared on the ITVBe show alongside the likes of Amy, Sam Faiers and Mark Wright between 2010 and 2011 before returning briefly in 2014.

He said: “My journey with an eating disorder was a struggle.

“I know I’m not a muscle pump up Pete now but where I am right now I have never felt and looked better in myself.

“Aged 16, I was seven stone and very unhealthy and could go a day without eating.

“I also had a fear of food which can be diagnosed as a ‘food phobia’.”

Harry is engaged to Dean Rowland and the pair were set to tie the knot this year but the coronavirus pandemic forced the couple to cancel their dream wedding.

TOWIE continues on ITVBe on Sunday at 9pm
