Vinnie Jones says 'nature is my passion' with badger, crow and 103 cows at home

Football bad boy-turned-actor Vinnie Jones has got a pet badger and a crow.

The Hollywood star also has a tame deer and more than 100 calves living at his country pad.

Vinnie, 55, is currently staying at his home in Petworth Park, west Sussex, after flying back from his home in LA.

The Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels star said that “nature is my passion”, before adding that his 103 cows were “little characters”.

He said: “You put them in a field and the first thing they do is run round it trying to escape. Silly buggers.”

In a bizarre rant the actor also hit out at Springwatch host Chris Packham, 59, for “not understanding the countryside” and accusing farmers of being “killers”.

He said: “Chris Packham. And people like him. People who don’t understand the countryside.

“Most of the farmers and people who live in the country are the biggest conservationists.”

He claimed Packham “goes around making out we’re natural born killers, which is just so far from the truth”.

Vinnie, the new face of Alpro Oat drink, added he felt Chris was “trying to get everything banned”.

“If he wants to bark on about conservation and grouse moors, go look at a battery farm where people’s chickens come from.

“Every day: light on for 12 hours, light off for 12 hours.”

Vinnie, previously criticised for hunting, said he started shooting at age five, adding: “People have different views on how to do conservation. It’s something that was bred into me.”
