Amanda Holden's raciest lockdown locks – from topless snaps to bikini displays

Loungewear has ruled over the past year, with sales in tracksuits and pyjamas soaring during the lockdown – except Amanda Holden didn’t get the memo.

Refusing to succumb to a closet of joggers and hoodies during the lockdown, the 49-year-old star has been dazzling her fans with one show-stopping outfit after another.

Whether it was taking the bins out in a ballgown, or mowing her lawn in a wedding dress, Amanda has vowed to brighten fans’ days with each glittering outfit post.

Below we take a look at some of Amanda’s most spectacular looks over the past year, featuring everything from personalised bikini bottoms to a dress made from fifty quid notes.

NYE bikini bonanza

While the rest of the nation knocked back the bubbly in their pyjamas, Amanda stripped off to her bikini briefs and celebrated the new year in her outdoor hot tub.

Posing with her back to the camera, the Britain’s Got Talent judge showcased the unique briefs, which were emblazoned with the words: “Bye-bye 2020.”

Her face tilted to one side, her bare back was in full shot as she soaked her legs in the swish open-air jacuzzi.

In her caption, the mum-of-two made a nod to her rear end, writing: “Bottoms up.”

Mrs Claus tribute

Last December, Amanda marked the onset of the festive season with a tribute to Santa’s leading lady, Mrs Claus.

Climbing up a ladder to scrub her windows, the mum-of-two donned the red and white costume and tackled some household chores.

Complete with a fur-trimmed hood, scarlet velvet sleeves, and candy-cane striped tights, she was a vision in red as she completed the tiresome task.

Getting into the spirit of things, Amanda played the song When I’m Cleaning Windows by George Formby over the video, a smile on her face as she worked away.

Cleverly, Amanda used the photo as an opportunity to plug her new Christmas single, Home For Christmas, which was released in late November.

She said: “As I’m HOME FOR CHRISTMAS I thought I’d clean the…”

Tour de Holden

In April, Amanda informed fans that “working up a sweat is good for your mind, body, and soul” (Image: Amanda Holden/Instagram)

At the peak of the first lockdown, Amanda kept herself occupied by working out, enjoying everything from daily jogs to sun-soaked bike rides.

One such bike ride, back in April, saw the starlet hop aboard a scarlet crossbar bike for a leisurely cycle.

Venturing out in a pair of sporty gym shorts, Amanda worked a red and white vest top, patterned with retro “Coca Cola” inspired lettering.

In her caption, Amanda praised the benefits of exercise during the lockdown period, urging her followers to embrace the Great Outdoors.

She said: “As a family, we’ve not let this lockdown stop us from exercising, it’s actually become an essential hour of our daily lives.

“Whether it’s a home workout, a bike ride, a run, or even a walk around the park – working up a sweat is good for your mind, body, and soul!”

Bridal party

Amanda went on a trip down memory lane back in April, donning her wedding dress to mow the lawn.

The gown, which featured white sequins against ivory silk, was cut in a sweetheart neckline with a fishtail hem.

Urging her followers to do the same, Amanda added the hashtag “do the dress” and wrote: “Nice day for a good mowing! Hope it puts a smile on your face.”

Amanda first wore the gown back in 2008, when she walked down the aisle to say “I do” with her music producer husband Chris Hughes.

Fast-forward to over a decade later, and the lovebirds are proud parents to two girls – daughter Lexi, 14, and Hollie, eight.

Amanda regularly gushes about her leading man, previously praising her “strong relationship” with the record producer.

Speaking to Daily Star Sunday last year, she said: “I’ve got a very strong husband who is very sensible and not like me in any way.”

Wheelie fashionable

Lockdown left many looking for an occasion to dress up, with Amanda donning a floor-length gown to celebrate taking the bins out.

Cut from a shimmering pink fabric, the figure-hugging dress was designed with an asymmetrical neckline and a fuchsia tail.

Working some nude stilettos, April saw the Heart FM presenter strut down her driveway with her wheelie bin.

Adding the hashtag “ballgown bins out,” Amanda quipped: “Wheelie wanted to dress up tonight!”

Sterling sparkle

May saw Amanda work a dress made entirely from fake £50 notes (Image: instagram)

Amanda has a shimmering collection of designer frocks, but none are worth as much as the dress she modelled last May.

Promoting Heart Radio’s Make Me A Millionaire winner from her Surrey home, the singer worked a dress crafted entirely from £50 notes.

As one of the radio’s most valued hosts, it was down to Amanda to successfully plug the competition.

Promoting the giveaway, Amanda wrote: “#Heartmillionaire @thisisheart this morning we will change someone’s life forever.”

However, it later transpired the dress was made from faux notes.

On May 7, a listener named Tommy Norton scooped up the incredible £1,000,000 prize, growing emotional when he heard the news.

WFH wardrobe

In March, Amanda briefly presented her radio show from home (Image: Instagram)

While Amanda’s ballgowns and bikinis attracted a lot of attention this year, her most relatable look to date was her working from home wardrobe.

For a brief spell, the radio darling presented her Heart FM breakfast show from home, joining Jamie Theakston via the airwaves.

Dressing for the occasion in March, Amanda refused to don her usual office attire, and instead worked a sophisticated set of silk pyjamas.

Capturing the moment for an outfit post, Amanda could be seen beaming at the camera, working her signature Heart FM mic and headpiece in her sleepwear.

Thrilled with her comfy wardrobe for the day, she wrote: “Like so many of you I’m working @thisisheart from #home today to make sure we have the tech to keep you company throughout this trying time! #breakfast.”
