Anti-porn group and Tucker Carlson slam 'explicit' Grammy clip of Cardi B's WAP

Fox News host Tucker Carlson has weighed in on Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s live performance of WAP at the Grammys.

He’s often seen online talking about how much he hates porn, so there’s no surprise a bit of twerking was classed as “pornography” by the American conservative television host and political commentator.

Carlson, who has hosted the nightly political talk show Tucker Carlson Tonight on Fox News since 2016, gave his view while presenting the news for Fox News.

Of the performance, he said: “It’s hard not to conclude they’re not intentionally trying to degrade our culture and hurt our children.”

Carlson then went on a rant about cultural items that have recently been dubbed controversial.

The host said: “The cultural vandals in charge of our own cultural revolution have censored everything from cartoon skunks to Peter Pan and Dumbo.

“All filth.”

He listed Mr Potato Head and Dr Seuss as other examples.

Carlson also joked the WAP performance was “the only portion” of the event the network could show, according to him.

“No more Dumbo, it’s too filthy,” Carlson retorted sarcastically. “We get that instead.”

Carlson wasn’t the only one to take offence over the performance as an anti-porn group have claimed the network “contributed to the sexual exploitation of women” and the “normalisation of porn culture”.

Candace Owens, conservative author and political commentator, told Carlson she thought the show was “pornographic”.

She said: “Virtually, what we were looking at last night was a lesbian sex scene being simulated on television, and this is considered feminist.

“This feels more sinister. This is starting to me to seem like it’s not even left or right, it’s not a political issue.”

She continued: “This seems like an attack on American values, American traditions, and you’re actually actively trying to make children aspire to things that are grotesque,” she added, calling it a celebration of “perversity”.

“You have these kids learning about critical race theory, they’re learning that they should aspire to people like Cardi B. You see that fundamentally we are seeing the destruction of American values, American principles.”

Carlson said the performance was: “Totally degrading. And the same people who make it will lecture you about ‘you hate women’ or something.”
