BBC Breakfast guest says Oprah 'will share unseen clips from Meghan interview'

BBC Breakfast guest KJ Matthews has claimed that Oprah Winfrey will reveal more unseen clips from her interview with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry tomorrow morning in America.

The couple’s highly-anticipated chat with the talk show host aired in the US overnight and will be shown in the UK tonight.

During the interview, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made several bombshell claims against the royal family.

Meghan, 39, told Oprah that Kate Middleton had made her cry, while Harry, 36, explained that his dad Prince Charles had stopped taking his calls.

The pair, who are parents to one-year-old son Archie, also revealed the gender of their unborn child is a girl.

BBC Breakfast hosts Dan Walker and Louise Minchin welcomed LA entertainment journalist KJ and Sunday Times Roll Correspondent onto Monday’s show to discuss the interview.

Speaking via. video link from LA, entertainment journalist KJ Matthews explained: “I’m still processing what I heard.

“I expected to hear some revelations but I never imagined I would hear that many revelations.

“I mean there were so many bombshells, I don’t know which one to focus on.”

Sharing the reactions from Americans, KJ continued: “When it comes to Prince Harry and Meghan we feel more sympathy towards them now.

“We have a better understanding as to why they felt they had cut ties with the British royal family.

“I haven’t seen one sympathetic view point siding with someone from the royal family.”

Presenter Louise, 52, asked: “There’s still more to come?”

KJ revealed: “I’m hearing no that Oprah will appear live on the CBS morning show tomorrow here in America to reveal clips from the interview that we’ve not seen.

“So there’s even more. There could be even more bombshells tomorrow morning.

“It’s just the gift that keeps on giving. It’s quite shocking so I’ll be surprised to see what else she can drop on us after she dropped so many cornels here.”

BBC Breakfast host Dan, 43, took to social media on Sunday night to send out a warning to viewers before covering the interview.

Taking to Twitter, he shared the official BBC Breakfast account’s post teasing what’s in store for this morning.

“Busy programme tomorrow,” he penned.

“Here’s a plan… if you’re not interested in #HarryandMeghanonOprah that’s fine… but don’t shout at us for covering it. See you in the morning.”
