Coronation Street fans concerned for Fiz as they predict dark twist with new man

Coronation Street fans have been keeping their eyes fixated on Fiz Stape’s new partner Phil Whittaker as they believe he may be “too good to be true”.

Fiz and Phil have been dating for a few months and despite a few hiccups along the way, things have been going very well for the pair.

But on Wednesday night, some Corrie fans seemed to believe that Phil may be hiding something.

While another also compared Phil to twisted Geoff Metcalfe who terrorised Yasmeen Nazir for several months.

Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “Fizz’s new boyfriend to good to be true. What’s his angle something secret about him, watch him fizz.”

Fans are convinced there is something sinister about Phil

Another viewer said: “Phil is too good to be true.”

A third chimed: “Think Fiz new man maybe another Jeff!”

Meanwhile, another fan speculated that Phil could be related to Fiz’s horrendous ex-partner John Stape.

“Crazy thought but what if it turns out Phil is John Stape’s brother or something? He’s too good to be true, that’s for sure!” The viewer penned.

On Wednesday night’s programme, Phil asked Tyrone Dobbs if it was okay if he could take his daughters and Fiz on a trip on Christmas Eve.

Feeling reluctant, Tyrone decided that it would be a good idea for his children to spend time away during the Christmas period even though he may end up spending the festive season on his own.

But due to the fact that Tyrone is trying to make an effort with Fiz’s new partner, he has started to welcome the prospect of them becoming friends for the sake of Fiz and their children.

Actor Jamie Kenna who plays Phil first appeared on the famous cobbles during the summer.
