Corrie actress Hayley Tamaddon thanks NHS after rushing young son to hospital

Hayley Tamaddon, known for her roles in soaps Coronation Street and Emmerdale, informed fans that she had to take her son to hospital yesterday in an emotional post.

On her Instagram Story, she wrote: ‘Ended up in hospital again today with a very poorly boy. He got better only to get worse again.

“Thank you to the amazing staff @SalfordRoyalNHS .. we are so lucky to have the #nhs.”

Tamaddon played Delilah Dingle on Emmerdale until 2007, returning to the soap scene for two years in 2013 for Coronation Street as the character Andrea Beckett.

It was only last week that the actress revealed to fans that her son had been sick for two weeks.

Hayley’s latest story post, informing fans on her son’s condition

Sharing a photo of herself smiling while carrying her son on her back, she wrote: ‘I’ve taken a break from social media for a while for a few personal reasons…

“One of those being that jasper was really poorly.

“He’s on the mend now thank god but for 2 weeks he’s not been well at all, bless him, and we ended up in hospital one night.”

Born in October of 2019, Hayley welcomed son Jasper with her partner Adrian and has said that getting pregnant was the “most unexpected news” following a prior miscarriage.

While Tamaddon is most known for her roles in soaps, the star has also performed on stage as the character Frenchie from Grease.

Elsewhere, she played the character of Diana Morales in A Chorus Line, with the famous song ‘Nothing’ by the character being a stand out scene in the production.

Tamaddon’s show performances go from playing roles such as Janet in The Rocky Horror Picture Show to pantomime performances as the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella.

She also won the crown in the 2007 show Soapstar Superchef along with co-star Matthew Bose and went on to become champion of the fifth season of Dancing on Ice alongside long time friend and professional ice skater Daniel Whiston.
