He paired the look with a salt and pepper beard as he sent his best wishes to his friend as she prepared to complete a challenge she set herself last year to complete 50 5k runs in a year in an effort to raise money for five charities.

In the video, Adam confessed: “Sal, when you started this challenge, I didn’t think you’d make it – I’ll be perfectly honest.

“The fact that you’ve reached 49 runs, you’ve got one left to do. Fair play to you, well done.

“Just go for it tomorrow, do it in your fastest time. Go smash it girl.”

Actress Sally Ann Matthews has been running 5k across the UK to raise money for charity

The Corrie star shared her reasons behind why she decided to take on the difficult challenge on her money raising platform online.

On her Virgin Money page, she penned: “On the 19th September 2020 I turned 50 years old.

“I had never been remotely sporty but earlier this year I decided to embark upon Couch to 5k and I loved it.

“Having completed the programme I knew I had to set myself a challenge so that I wouldn’t find my way back to the couch with the remote control and a glass of wine.

“So why not run 50 5ks between 19/9/20 and 18/9/21 to raise money for five charities?”

With one run left to complete, the TV star hopes to rake in piles of money for her chosen charities

Sally continued: “They are Acting For Others, Action Against Cancer, JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund), The Matt Hampson Foundation and the RNLI. I will be posting a Fitbit photograph after each run on my Instagram page as well as updating here if you want to keep tabs on me!

“Just hope my knees hold out … x,” she joked.
