EastEnders' Martine McCutcheon shares cute throwback snaps to mark 45th birthday

Former EastEnders actress Martine McCutcheon has chosen to mark her 45th birthday with an array of adorable throwback snaps.

Martine, who played tragic Tiffany Mitchell from 1995 to 1999, shared a series of photos that charted her life from her early childhood to her own experiences as a parent, ending with a photo of her husband and baby son.

The first picture showed her mum bathing her as a baby with a second cute pic showing Martine as a sweet toddler.

Martine also posted to her Instagram account snaps of herself as a teenager, posing with EastEnders co-star Ross Kemp, collecting an award, and hugging Love Actually co-star, Colin Firth.

The final picture shows an adorable photo of her husband Jack and baby son Rafferty.

Along with the photos, Martine shared a personal message that reflected on the wonderful life she has had, saying: “A lot has happened in 45 years. I couldn’t possibly begin to fit it all in!

“I could say I didn’t dream of some of the things that happened to me, but to be honest I always did dream big and felt that I was destined to do certain things…. Even if it did all start from selling dodgy perfumes with my mum at car boot sales in the East end!”

“I have my to thank for always going for it and believing I had a chance to do better things – Thank you [Jenny Tomlin]”

Martine explained how she’s always felt like her “purpose was to be an inspiration in some way” and that she’s always wanted to “make people feel good or like they could be someone” and hopes that she has been able to do that and inspire some of her fans throughout her career.

She also gushed about the “love of my life [Jack McManus]” and referenced the emotional toll their struggle to conceive took, and how grateful she is to have had the opportunity to become a mother , explaining that she “I knew in my heart it would complete me and it did”.

Going onto say: “Rafferty, I couldn’t love you move. You are the light of my life.”

Martine explained that “life has been a rollercoaster” and has never been dull, and that she is now “proud of the woman I have worked on to become” and is happy and content with where she is now.

She then shared a message to fans saying how life is not always easy, but that it’s important to “hold on and keep smiling as you never know what tomorrow may bring”.

Martine was treated to lots of birthday messages from friends and family, with Corrie’s Samia Longchambon saying: “Happy birthday gorgeous lady” and Ruth Langsford calling her photo montage “beautiful”.
