Emmerdale fans baffled by Priya confession 'plot hole' as Kim falls for her lies

Emmerdale’s Priya Sharma successfully swindled Al Chapman on Tuesday’s episode, framing him for fraud in vindictive scenes.

However, watching from home, certain Emmerdale fans picked up on a blunder, pointing out Kim Tate (Claire King) would have likely overheard her confession to the crime.

In a tearful confrontation, Priya (Fiona Wade) pleaded with Kim Tate, assuring her Al (Michael Wildman) was behind the stolen money and trying her best to argue her innocence.

Falling for the trap, Kim took Priya’s side and threatened Al with prison time, before closing the doors to her office and leaving them to fight in the hallway.

As they quarrelled loudly, Priya confessed to framing Al, leaving many to point out Kim was likely to hear everything from behind the door.

Kim disappeared into her office after siding with Priya over Al

Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “Kim is just thru those doors & Priya isn’t exactly being quiet. A few words spring to mind starting with f*** & b******.”

“Surely Kim can hear her,” added a second.

And a third chimed: “Why would Priya say that with Kym in the room next door to them?”

Immediately turning off the waterworks as soon as Kim disappeared from view, Priya let Al know that hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

With tears in her eyes, Priya tried her best to convince Kim of her innocence

She fumed: “You seriously underestimated me, didn’t you? The fraud wasn’t Debbie’s idea, it was mine.”

While Priya was busy planning her wedding to the sleazy businessman, he was jetting back and forth to Scotland, enjoying a sordid affair with Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb).

However, Debbie’s return to the dales signalled the end of their love triangle, as both women uncovered the truth of his two-timing in explosive scenes.

Assuring Al she wouldn’t go down without a fight this evening, Priya seethed: “Save your lies and your begging for Kim, cause you are never going to see a penny of that money.”

Will Al manage to track down Kim’s money in time – or is he destined for a stint behind bars?

Emmerdale airs on weekdays at 7pm on ITV, with an extra helping on Thursdays at 8pm.
