Fans catch Britney Spears 'sending signals' in unearthed clip of star performing

A clip of Britney Spears has gone viral after a fan shared a video of the star performing while sick during her Piece Of Me tour back in 2018.

The video was uploaded to Twitter by Zachary Gordon and was filmed at the Borgata Event Center in Atlantic City.

The clip sees the star addressing the crowd telling them that she is sick and has a fever of 102 degrees.

While continuing with the show, she says: “It’s going to be really, really hot up here – I’m warning you. I’m about to pass out. I’m sick.

“I actually have a 102 fever right now”

Taking to social media, Zachary said sorry to Britney for initially thinking the singer was a “trooper” for continuing the show while being unwell.

Now that the world has been privy to the 39-year-old’s heartbreaking testimony in court on Wednesday about her conservatorship, he says he sees the clip “with clear eyes”.

Zachary wrote: “Dear @britneyspears… I feel like we owe you an apology. We bought into the whole hype of BRITNEY the performer, without much consideration for how Britney Jean Spears, the person, was coping through each day.

“Looking back now, I remember you saying this in front of me and I just thought ‘Wow, she’s such a trooper and cares so much to put on a show for her fans.’

“Now I can see with clear eyes that this was a dig at the people controlling you, making you go onstage, performing under high powered lights, all while you had a high-grade fever.

Britney’s fans reacted with horror to the clip, commenting that it was obvious now that the star was struggling.

One fan said: “I remember when people said she was looking so tired on POM, now everything makes a sense!! I feel very sorry for her.”

Another tweeted: “Small acts that took years to paint the whole picture. The stability, patience, and strength that takes is unimaginable if you are not experiencing it.”

“She was sending signals all along,” added a third.

It comes after Britney testified in court that she would often have to work seven days a week with no time off and had been forced to go on tour “out of fear.”

She said: “I was on tour in 2018. I was forced to go.

“My management said if I don’t do this tour, I will have to find an attorney, and by contract, my own management could sue me if I didn’t follow through with the tour.

“He handed me a sheet of paper as I got off the stage in Vegas and said I had to sign it.

“It was very threatening and scary, and with the conservatorship, I couldn’t even get my own attorney, so out of fear, I went ahead and I did the tour.”
