Frankie Bridge's son rushed to hospital as he began gasping for air

Frankie Bridge was forced to rush her seven-year-old son to hospital following a croup attack over the weekend.

The Saturday’s singer, 32, who is married to footballer Wayne Bridge, took to her official Instagram Stories to explain her family’s ordeal on Monday evening.

She told her 1.3million followers how her boy Parker has now been discharged from the hospital.

The child suffered his second croup attack in five months and was taken to hospital in the early hours of the morning after Frankie spotted the boys had “runny noses” and was worried Parker would develop croup.

Croup is a childhood condition which makes it hard for young people to breathe, symptoms can include a barking cough and a hoarse voice.

She said: “It does kick off again. It’s just so scary for him and us and trying to keep him calm.

“It’s just mad how you can have one kid who has a cold and just has a cold and then you have another kid, the minute he has anything, it goes straight to his chest and has asthma.

“No one else in my family has asthma. It’s just not something you ever get used to I think, seeing someone that you love gasping for air.”
