Game Of Thrones stars Kit Harington and Rose Leslie welcome first baby together

Game Of Thrones co-stars Kit Harington and Rose Leslie are proud parents to a baby boy, the famous couple have revealed.

According to their representative, the lovebirds are “very, very happy” as they welcome the little one to their family.

The newborn’s name has yet to be revealed.

Kit and Rose, both 34, have kept a low profile in recent months, having announced they were expecting a child together last October.

In a statement shared at the time, Rose admitted she was “thrilled” at the prospect of becoming a mum, showcasing her bump in a shoot for Make magazine.

She told New York Post: “I am thrilled to be expecting. I can’t wait to meet the new member of our family!”

Setting up home in a sprawling farmhouse in Kit’s native Suffolk, the couple lead a quiet life together in rural harmony.

Speaking to Stylist about her experience of the lockdown, Rose said: “I feel incredibly grateful. My husband and I were fortunate to spend lockdown in the countryside.”

The sweethearts tied the knot in 2018, enjoying a summer wedding with their Hollywood pals, friends and family members in attendance.

Surrounded by rolling hills, they said “I do” in the 12th-century Wardhill Castle in Aberdeenshire, which is owned by Rose’s family.

Delighting Game Of Thrones fans, they first fell for one another on the set of the fantasy HBO series, in which Rose played Kit’s love interest.

Kit played the lead character of Jon Snow in the series, surviving until the dramatic finale of season eight, which aired in 2019.

Rose’s character, the wildling Ygritte, joined the show in season two but died after an arrow pierced her heart in a season four battle scene.

Game Of Thrones fans will remember her heartwrenching exit, which saw a dying Ygritte fade away while lying in Jon Snow’s arms in the middle of the fray.

Kit previously spoke about falling for Rose behind-the-scenes, telling Vogue Italia his favourite episodes were filmed in season two when he met his future wife.

In the 2016 interview, he said: “Because the country is beautiful, because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love.

“If you’re already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it’s becomes very easy to fall in love.”
