GMB's Piers Morgan hits back at co-star Alex Beresford after he reignites feud

Piers Morgan may be taking a break from Good Morning Britain but it doesn’t mean that he’s not keeping an eye on the ITV breakfast show.

The 55-year-old presenter wasn’t pleased to hear Alex, 40, admit that he’d never watched an episode of his ITV series Piers Morgan’s Life Stories recently.

Weather presenter Alex shocked co-star Charlotte, 45, when he made the confession live on Thursday’s show.

Good Morning Britain shared the moment on Twitter where Alex is heard saying: “I’ve never actually watched Piers’ Life Stories before.”

When Charlotte asked whether or not he thought he’d “get away with that”, he smirked: “I don’t see him that much anymore.”

Retweeting the clip, an angry Piers responded: “To be fair, I’ve never watched his weather reports.”

Piers Morgan’s Life Stories has been on air for 12 years and the outspoken star has interviewed a host of famous faces such as Captain Sir Tom Moore and more recently Chris Eubank.

It comes just weeks after Piers made a cheeky dig at Alex as he handed over to his colleague to give the latest weather news

“Here’s Alex who is by far from being the greatest weatherman of all time,” the former newspaper editor joked during an episode last month.

However, the friendly feud didn’t end there as Alex hit back during his weather segment.

The 40-year-old star quipped: “Well the great news is that Piers is not here tomorrow, but the bad news is that the weather is pretty testing out there and there are a number of warnings in place.”

It’s not the first time Piers, 55, and Alex have been caught up in a spat in recent time.

The pair had some crossed words when Piers asked Alex what the weather forecast looked like for the Cricket World Cup in June last year.

Piers enquired what the outlook was from the forecaster as Eoin Morgan’s men look to bounce back from losing to Sri Lanka.

Alex said: “Are you talking to me?”

The weatherman then added: “I don’t work for you.”

An irate Piers then said he would Google the weather after being snubbed by his co-star.

Piers and Alex also found themselves embroiled in another heated debate in January 2020 when Piers asked Alex for his opinion on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

Alex has previously walked off the show after Piers made fun of his weather presenting.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am
