Gordon Ramsay says he's 'not f***ed yet' after knee surgery and doctor warning

Gordon Ramsay gave a trademark reaction when doctors ordered the sweary telly chef to start slowing down.

The 54-year-old has just had meniscus surgery after arthritis was discovered in his knee.

It was found after he did some damage running up a steep hill in Richmond, south west London last month.

Now medics told Gordon he must pace himself and take things easy – but he says he’s too frightened.

He lost dad Gordon Snr, 53, when he was just 30 after his father suffered a fatal heart attack and the TV star accepts it does play on his mind.

“I’ve just had meniscus surgery. I did it running up the hill at Richmond Park, bolting up it. It was f***ing painful,” he told The Sun.

“And when I got the X-rays back, the doctor said, ‘You’ve got arthritis in your knee’.

“He told me I needed to start slowing down. I also have that stern warning of my father dying at 53. I look at my kids and know I can’t leave them rudderless.

But in classic Ramsay style, the famous cook lets slip an F-bomb just 45 seconds into the first episode.

Gordon can’t wait for the show to air on Tuesday night.

He says he has studied how Bradley Walsh and Jeremy Clarkson operate and will take inspiration whenever he steps foot in front of the camera.

Gordon has been swatting up by watching hours of The Chase and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? but says he will be bringing his own presenting style to the show.
