I'm A Celeb's Fleur East swipes at Gwrych Castle cast as they get 'hot showers'

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here’s Fleur East has been left unimpressed with the plans for the new series as it’s reportedly revealed that the newbies will get hot showers.

In the lead-up to the new series it was confirmed that it would take place at Gwrych Castle in Wales rather than their usual digs in Australia.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the cast members can’t attend the Jungle, so for the second year running it will be based in a castle instead.

Speaking to Daily Star Online at the TRIC Awards, former campmate Fleur East hinted that she’s not impressed with the fact they’ll get hot showers.

She said: “I heard a rumour that they have hot showers… now I’m not saying it’s not going to be tough but try having a freezing cold shower out in the open. It’s just not fair is it?!

“It’s still tough you are still doing the same trials and away from family but I mean the jungle is the original experience isn’t it.”

Fleur appeared on the show in 2018 alongside Emily Atack and Harry Redknapp, with Harry ultimately being hailed the champion.

In 2020, it was confirmed that the series would go ahead despite the Covid-19 pandemic, but with a bit of a shake-up leaving contestants closer to home.

The series remained incredibly successful, so despite Australia still keeping their borders firmly closed, the show has gone ahead once more.

While a new date hasn’t been confirmed for the 2021 series, it is likely to return in November as it has in previous years, though no confirmation on a line-up just yet.

ITV bosses have already started working on Gwrych Castle as preparations for the new series begin.

Earlier this month the castle closed its doors to the public while preparations well and truly launched inside the building to welcome the new celebrities for the 2021 series.

While nobody has been confirmed just yet, the likes of Love Island’s Liberty Poole and Tommy Fury have both been rumoured to be joining the show – alongside famous TV presenter Piers Morgan.

But the real question remains, who will be crowned King or Queen of the Castle?
